Sandy,
Thanks for Hosting this week and for the nice sketches. The Extra Credit is perfect for this time of year. I'm sure the ladies won't have any trouble thinking of something to make...I already have something in mind!

#1 - Love all the banners (although banners are my nemesis, when making cards with them) and Christmas decorations and of course your signature black and red color combo. Very nice!!

Hope you had an awesome birthday celebrating with your family!

Sandy - Thanks for hosting this week. Great set of sketches for us to use and extra credit is a good one too.

WOW just love your first cardDrool .The colours look vintage to me (cream, brown and red). Love the embossed strip and the banners are a perfect place for joy. What a great start for us all.

Carrottop, great job on the banner! I know how long they take to make! I really do like the additional party hat! It gives it more of a party feel to it!

I finished one card....it's sketch #1, the Week's Colors and extra credit. It was hard to get the card to look like a Christmas card even though the paper is from a Christmas Stack which has big slowflakes on it. I punched the circles and then embossed the showflake from a new set of Cuttlebug flowers that I just bought. I put the bows on they kind of hid the embossing so put the die-cut snowflakes on top of each bow and stickled the heck out of the card! The circles are popped.

Turtlebug......beautiful roses. Everything is dry and brown here now. Crying

Carrottop 50.....Beautiful Birthday Banner! I like it with both the hats and the flowers.

Cindy.....as always, beautiful cards. I just wish I could click on the cards and the message board would show them larger like they used to do. Maybe that will be fixed. Good job with the Ad Colors.

Cindy, clever girl weaving the lace banner through the trees like you did on your sketch 1 card! Pretty card! I love all that gold in the corners of your second card!

Dee, when I looked at your card I thought you somehow stamped and made the background until I read that it is from a paper pack! So very pretty! Love the bows and snowflakes!

Bingolady, cute little holly paper! Great embossing as usual, and I love the added ribbon going across!

I tried to do something a little different on Sketch 2 and HATE how it turned out! I wasn't going to show you, but I don't want to make another card, lol!

I was tired last night and I should know when to quit... LOL My brain went to sleep too early... I just thought a hat on each triangle was just too much... it seemed a bit drab too... I want to thank all of you for your suggestions... it made me do some thinking and here is what I came up with... the stickles helped with the drab... I think... then I used the hats on the triangles that didn't have a letter...Ok what do you think now???

Cartridges:
Flowers: Mother's Day Bouquet (this cartridge is my favorite for flowers)
Letters and the triangles: Art Philosophy
Party Hat: Cupcake Wrappers
Frappe: Love You A Latte This banner is for my daughter and she loves Frappes...

Paper: Colorbok Textured Cardstock Pack - Spring Pastel

Sandy: Thanks again for doing this week's sketch challenge. Lover your sketch 1 card and your sketch 2 is so adorable love every thing about it... Also thanks again for the help on the banner.

Dee: Thanks for the ad colors... those will be a challenge to use for Christmas cards..but then I seen your card and wow you did a wonderful job using the ad colors... love everything about your card.

BritishGirl: Cute card and it could be used for Christmas or all winter long...

Donna: Great card... looks like a lot of work went into this card ... always love embossing.

BingoLady: Your card is very cute and I love the embossing.

Cindy: Really like both of your cards. Card 1 has lots of detail to it.. and card 2 - love your flower and the bling. Thanks for your suggestion on the banner also... the cartridge for the flower on my banner is Mother's Day Bouguet and I think it was my first cartridge purchase and I still love and use it a lot.

Well, did they work on the board today? If so, I missed it, plus, all the same problems are there fo me. Mad

Donna.....loved the card. It seems like you and bingolady are working in sync. LOL

Carrottop....the banners look great and I'm sure you daughter will be pleased with them. What size did you cut them at?

Sandy....I laughed when you said that you thought I might have stamped the background on my card....that's one thing you will never see me doing.....I don't own any background stamps. I only stamp things that I can color in. Flapper The paper is from a stack by MME called Glittered Christmas. I think this will be the 3rd Christmas that I've had it and it's my first card. Most of my 12x12 stacks where bought with the hope of making some pages. Maybe soon!

(Does anyone know if the problem could be with a setting on my computer? We are so computer challenged in this house. I've spent a week or more trying to get my new iPad working. Then I managed to delete all my phone numbers off my iphone. Sad)

Sandy....I loved your card.....but it's still hard for me to see the details. When I click for the photo to be enlarged now, I lose everything! The only thing I would suggest is that you move the wreath a little to the right.

Have a good evening everyone. Dee

My Sketch #2 in the Ad Colors:

Embossing - Cuttlebug "Forrest Branches" and "Swirls & Birds" folders
Printed Paper - Michael's single sheet rack
Sentiment - CTMH acrylic stamps from the "4 My Friend " collection
Corners - Fiskar punch
Used sheer ribbon for the bow and added blue gems to the bow and "Love". I inked the center white panel edges with brown ink.
Sorry, no Cricut. Cut all the panels on my paper trimmer.
