Hello everyone! Welcome to a new week of sketches! This challenge is for anyone that has the same passion for crafting! BigGrin Every week it will be different sketches! If anything inspires you to make a card, please post your picture of what you made on here! These sketches are here to get your juices flowing! It is amazing to see the transformation of everyone's ideas of what they see in a sketch, and how different all of our creations turn out from each others! We have all seen us grow so much with this challenge and hope that many more people will be inspired to post their cards here too! Pick one sketch, pick them all, it doesn't really matter! Just have fun!!! BigGrin
Hugs, and happy crafting!!!

Here is my take on sketch 1!

Dee, I will try and upload my pictures to photobucket from now on! I know it was frustrating you to not be able to make my cards bigger! Umm, I need to learn how to make my cards show up smaller now me thinks, lol!

Donna, I absolutely LOVED seeing all your family photos! Little Miss Emma with her mini album was just so precious! Love the 5 generations too! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!!!

If anyone is confused about the title for this post "Card Addicts..." I asked Sandy to post that. If the word "addict" does NOT attract attention, I don't know what will BigGrin

SandyPalmer: thank you for hosting this week! I'm looking forward to doing your sketches. Beautiful first card. Wonderful use of neutral colors and wow on that flower with the bow. I don't think the image came out too big... then again, that's about the size I post my pictures

Here's to another week of great cards and projects! Love the sketches and I hope can get all three of them done this week.

Sandy....beautiful card. How did you make the flower? I think the size of the posted card is perfect. It's sooooo easy to see. Do let us know what you used to make the leaves. Love the paper.

This weeks colors......for those of you who like to use the colors for inspiration, please do. It's not required, but it can be fun to see if you can adapt them to one of the sketches. I loved these bright colors when I saw the photo. As always, the main thing is to have fun and post whatever you make.

Dee

I have the Cuttlebug Daisy Kit, but there is two more different kits I believe!?!?! I really want the Poinsettia kit next, lol! I just used regular card stock to make it too!
Oh, and for the leaves, they are called Lorelai Outline Leaf!

SandyPalmer: thanks for the link on how to make those flowers! Now, I'll try once again and use my die-cut and try and make some later. Why didn't I think about using a quilling pen? HAH HAH! That's probably why I couldn't get it to work for me. Anyway, I think I was actually more interested in that glue-tip in the video that the actual die-cuts themselves Blushing

Well I did not get to work on my cards today, had to finished up some birthday cards I need to send out.

But most of my time was spent organizing my Copic markers. I am so excited about how it turned out so I thought I would share it with you and maybe help some of you that are looking for a way to organize your markers.
Here they are before.

Actually they were in a draw but the bottom was falling out Scared (too heavyRollEyes ) so I took them out and put them in a box till we could figure out what to do.
Here is what we came up with.
This drawer was sturdier than the one I had them in. The white grate is actually one of those grate things from Loews that go over a ceiling light. I saw it posted that someone else had used it and the Copic sketch markers fit in the holes perfectly. So my hubby cut it to fit in my drawer, there is one on the bottom and one on the top so the markers will not move around. The drawer is right next to me lower than my desk so I can look down on them and pick out the markers I want.
Here it is all put in order following the Copic color chart.

It's it neat?Wub Wub Love Love Flapper

Hello Gang! Sorry I haven’t been here for the past month (or more)! Work has really taken over so I’ve had little spare time. I’m jumping back in and will make time to make a card or two this weekend!

I love the new name but I’m agreeable to any new name…as long as I can find it!

Sandy – Thanks for hosting – those are great sketches! I can’t see your card right now but hopefully it will be back up on the site so I can admire it too!

Dee – wonderful, bright colours! I like the challenge of trying to use the colours on a card so will do my best. I also find it helps to get us out of our comfort zone and to use up some of those papers that are in our stash.

Cindy – Beautiful Christmas cards!

Donna – What a great collection of Copics and such an ingenious way of storing them. I'm looking forward to going to previous posts to see your little darling granddaughter!

Turtlebug – I need to go back to previous posts to understand but I do hope that the challenge continues weekly and sorry if I haven’t been participating. Not for a lack of wanting but lack of time! This is such a wonderful group and the sharing/comments have always been positive.

I'll be posting again soon!

Cindy, great set of Christmas cards! I need to continue making them so I won't be bombarded at the last moment in making them! I did make sketch 2 a Christmas card this time so it's one more down!

Donna, oh my goodness, I just am amazed at how many copics you own! Love Drooling here! What a fabulous way to store them too!!!

Turtlebug, great job on tackling the ad colors! That Popsicle paper is too cute, and nice job on the embossing as well!

Dee, thanks for continuing with the ad colors!!!

Gisele, sorry about that! I forgot that once a card goes into photobucket it has to stay in there! I deleted it, and then I didn't take the time to take a good picture of it this time, lol!

My take on sketch 2!

Hi to all,
Here is my card for sketch #3. I need to send this today to my Auntie over there in Seattle. As you can see she will be 80, she was over here a few months ago for a wedding and is looking good.
I used some Kaisercraft papers I had left over, she loves to bake even now. Blushing afraid no Cricut on this one but my usual gems found their way on there lol.
Thanks for looking

Good morning everyone. I finished this card and wanted to get it posted. The papers are singles sheets that I've had here for ages. When I put down the banners I lost most of the Santa faces, so I cut and popped a few. The ribbon is Martha S. seam binding that I bought last year in Big Lots. I scanned the card instead of taking a photo. Hope it looks OK.

By the way, I wanted to say that I was never worried with how many pages we all end up with week after week... but for those that like to see more than one page...

I suggest that you all start posting all your cards and comments on separate posts to help bump up the post numbers

I've been doing this for a while and now that it's more convenient to post without having to worry about security codes... why not?

Lovely cards so far.

Turtlebug...I see you found paper for the Ad Colors, but I was going to say that it's a good excuse to go out and buy some new ones. LOL. The paper with the pops worked great. I like how you always do such a good job of including embossing on your cards. Very pretty paper on your banner card. You used two of my favorite embossing folders.

Sandy...Thanks for posting the link for the flowers. I should never watch things like that. First off, it makes me want to buy something...plus... I stay on the computer watching a ton of other videos. Sigh. Are these flowers something new or is this the Cuttlebug Quilling Flowers that's been around awhile? I never understood what they were.

Cindy...Beautiful cards as usual. Love the papers you use and color combos. The magnets are gorgeous.

Sue...Lovely 80th Birthday Card. The paper is perfect for someone who likes to cook.

Donna...Great way to store your Copics. I have mine on a shelf......I'll take a photo and post it later.

Here are a couple of tag cards I created from a few weeks ago. I am not sure, but I believe it was an extra credit. I took it as a challenge because I had not done a tag and from a mark down rack I had just bought some blank tag cards. Hope you enjoy looking at these creations.

Raq - Just love your calm green card for #1. Love the flourish and flowers. Great "Thanks" card, you know I think I may have that paper somewhere.

Dee - Cute card for #1, I just love the popped Santa's.

Now I will post my special project. It is an explosion box card for my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary. Perhaps you will understand why I did not get to last weeks sketches. Not sure if I will get to this week's sketches either for we are leaving here in a little while to be gone for a five days and to deliver this special explosion box to celebrate 60 years for two very wonderful people. This box is not hard to make. However, it is time consuming and a little tedious in working on the cake. I hope you feel inspired and try one for a special occasion.
