SpongeBob SquarePants Shadow Box

Materials:
- Cricut Expression® Personal Electronic Cutter
- Cricut® SpongeBob SquarePants cartridge
- Cricut Cuttables Vinyl
- Cricut Cuttables Transfer Tape
- Cardstock: blue, light blue, green, light green, medium green, dark green, black, gray, dark gray, yellow, bright yellow, sage, orange, white, red, dark red, light brown
- Paint: red, white
- Paintbrush
- Wooden shadow box with glass window, 15" x 11 ½"
- Glass etching cream
- Scissors
- Adhesive
Instructions:
- Remove glass from shadow box. Paint frame red. Let dry. Cover back insert with blue cardstock.
- Cut plants. Using SpongeBob SquarePants cartridge, vinyl, and settings on vinyl packaging, select Icon feature and cut one 3" [FishGirl], one 3" [FishBoy], one 3" [MermdMan], and one 3" [BrnclBoy]. Leave vinyl on mat and repeat cuts.
- Remove cuts from mat and discard. Cut off open images in a strip. Use transfer tape to place images along bottom of glass. Follow etching cream instructions to etch plants into glass. Remove vinyl. Place glass back in shadow box.
- Cut plants. Using yellow cardstock, select Icon feature and cut one 3" [FishGirl]. Repeat cut using bright yellow cardstock. Using light green cardstock, select Icon feature and cut one 3" [MermdMan]. Repeat cut using green cardstock. Adhere cuts to insert as shown.
Cut bubbles. Using light blue cardstock, select Icon feature, press Shift, and cut three 2", one 2 ½", and one 3" [Patrk1-s]. Repeat cuts using white cardstock and Shadow feature. Layer and adhere to insert as shown.
- Cut pineapple house. Using black cardstock, select Shadow feature and cut one 7" [Pineaple]. Repeat cut using dark red cardstock and Body/Detail 1 feature. Repeat cut using dark green cardstock and Outfit/Detail 2 feature. Repeat cut using gray cardstock and Eyes/Detail 3 feature. Using orange cardstock, select Body/Detail 1 feature, press Shift, and cut one 7" [Pinapl-s]. Repeat cut using medium green cardstock and Outfit/Detail 2 feature. Repeat cut using dark gray cardstock and Eyes/Detail 3 feature. Layer and adhere to insert as shown. Using white paint, dot windows and door as shown. Let dry.
Cut SpongeBob SquarePants. Using black cardstock, cut one 5 ½" [SpngBob2]. Repeat cut using yellow cardstock and Body/Detail 1 feature. Repeat cut using white cardstock and Eyes/Detail 3 feature. Repeat cut using light brown cardstock and Outfit/Detail 2 feature. Using red cardstock, select Outfit/Detail 2 feature, press Shift, and cut one 5 ½" [SpngB2-s]. Repeat cut using blue cardstock and Eyes/Detail 3 feature. Repeat cut using sage cardstock and Body/Detail 1 feature. Layer and adhere SpongeBob to insert as shown. Place insert inside shadow box.
