I made this for my husband's birthday, who is a big 49ers fan ... This year's birthday is more special because his team is going to the Superbowl. The card was wrapped up with the 49ers team logo ribbon. Go Niners!!

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Silver gems
  • Team logo ribbon
  • Assorted card stock
  • Zip Dry Adhesive

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

I-Heart Emblem: From Cricut font & basic shapes, weld "I" and "heart" at 2" and cut on black glitter card stock; cut shadow with white card stock; cut 1 heart with red card stock, sized down. Glue shapes together. Embellish heart with silver gems.
Note: The heart image was slightly tilted.
Using Extreme Fonts: 1) Cut "49" at 3.5" on red card stock, 2) cut "ERS" at 2.75" on red card stock. 3) on shift feature, cut the black layer using same dimensions. Glue layers together.

Using Cricut Craft Room Basics: For the underscore use the letter "I" at 4.75" and cut on glitter gold paper; enlarge the shape by about 1/4" and cut on black glitter paper. Glue layers together.
Using Cricut Font & Basic Shapes: 1) Use the oval shape image, sized at 7-3/4" and cut on white card stock; and 2) size oval shape at 8" and cut on black glitter paper. Glue layers together.

Cut rectangle for background for team logo out of gold glitter paper at 8-1/4" long x 5-1/4" wide.
Score and fold black card stock 8.5 x 11" into thirds: center section of the card at 5-5/8" and each end flap at 2-3/4". Apply glue to the top half of the "I heart" emblem and adhere to lower edge of left flap; do not apply glue to bottom half of the "I heart". The bottom half of emblem will overlap the right flap of card.

Adhere the rectangle gold glitter paper background in the center section of the black card stock, center and adhere the team logo. Trim the underscore with scissors to fit and adhere as shown on photo. Zip Dry glue works well to adhere glitter cardstock.
To keep the card closed, cut a length of 49ers logo ribbon long enough (apprx 28") to tie around the card with a bow.
