Name Signs for Boys' Room

I created these signs for my boys to hang over their beds. I used the Extreme Fonts and Beep Beep cartridges.

  • foam board
  • acrylic paint
  • cardstock
  • foam tape
  • ribbon
  • printed masking tape or washi tape

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Cut a sheet of foam board exactly in half using a craft knife. Paint the background in yor colour of choice using acrylic paint. You will probably need more than one layer to achieve even coverage.
Once dry, line the edges of the board with your choice of patterned tape.
Cut the name of your choice using the Extreme Fonts cartridge. I cut the first letter of each name at 11", and the rest of the letters at 5.5".
Cut vehicles from the Beep Beep cartridge to add a little decoration to the sign. For my signs, I used the race car (cut at 2"), the airplane (cut at 2.25"), the helicopter (cut at 3") and the tractor (cut at 3").
Punch holes in the top of the sign and attach a ribbon for hanging.
