OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED
- White cardstock
- Embroidery thread
- Pop dots
This is the backside. I cut the shadow feature at 5.75" relative in a coordinating blue cardstock. You could also select a matching solid blue color from the cartridge by selecting colors instead of patterns when flood filling from CCR. I embossed it with an A2 flower folder and tied simple knots like the quilts my grandma used to make. The knots were made using a really fine pure silk embroidery trim. You simply thread the silk from front to back and then back again and tie a knot. Of course any thin trim would work.
I cut the first layer twice and cut out the silhouettes so I could pop dot them on for a little dimension. I also sewed the edges of the front and back together and then I had to make myself STOP! I wanted to embellish more, but had to remember that it IS a bookmark and that I had to keep it thin.
I flood filled the Pride and Prejudice images from the Cricut Craft Room Exclusives, Bookmark - Classics with patterns from the Imagine cartridge Floral Emporium. The patterns I chose reminded me of a quilt and so, this became the craft theme of the bookmark. The images were cut at 5.75" relative size.
