a. Black title (1 ½” + <Check Mate!> or title of choice)
Use paper trimmer to cut one 11 ½” x 11 ½” piece of yellow gingham pattern paper. Adhere to one 12” x 12” piece of black cardstock to create base.
Use paper trimmer to cut one 3 ½” x 11 ½” piece of cream cardstock, one 5” x 8” piece of gray cardstock, and one 3” x 4” piece of black cardstock. Adhere to layout.
Create chess pieces from cuts 1a-6b. Layer together. Adhere to layout.
Create title from cuts 7a. Adhere to layout.
Embellish as desired.
