This little purse and its fabric bow were cut from the CTMH Artiste cartridge. Paper pack & fabric are part of the CTMH Chantilly Collection. I blogged about how I cut the fabric bow on 4/15/2013. I love the little 1/4" hook & loop dots (AKA Velcro) dots that I used to keep this purse closed. Most Velcro products are way too big and would overpower a little project like this.

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Chantilly Paper Pack from CTMH
  • Chantilly Textiles from CTMH
  • Pink Glitter Gems from CTMH
  • Hook & Loop Dots from CTMH
  • Heat & Bond

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

I cut 2 purses from one sheet of 12x12 paper using "fit to page" on my Expression. If you are using the personal mini-Cricut you will want to use Cricut Craft Room to rotate the purse so it will fit on the length of your mat.

The purse need no glue. It has interlocking flaps to hold it together. Fold and assemble. Apply a hook & loop dot to hold the purse closed.
Cut the fabric bow from Artiste. Apply Heat & Bond to the back of the fabric before cutting as per the directions on the package. Use Medium Speed, Max pressure, Blade depth 6. I only cut once.
Remove all fabric promptly from the mat or it may ruin your mat. Fold the bow, using a brad to hold the layers together. Hot glue a jewel over the top of the brad if desired.
Adhere bow to the purse with hot glue or glue dots.
