OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • card stock (in colours of your choice)
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • 12x12 canvas

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Design your canvas in Craft Room to include name, date of birth, length, weight and time of birth. (See layout of picture).
Name is approx 12"wide by 3" tall, date of birth is approx 9" wide by 1 1/2" tall, weight is 8" wide by 4" tall, time of birth is approx 7" wide by 3" tall, and length is approx 4"wide by 9" tall.
Add personalized details (for baseball themed canvas, I added a bat, ball & stars). For girls, can add butterflies, critters, or anything else to match the nursery.
Paint the canvas the colour of your choice (in this case white)
Place your cut lettering on the canvas and arrange so everything is centered & straight.
Glue the lettering to the canvas using Mod Podge & a foam brush. Let dry.
Paint over entire canvas with Mod Podge to seal. I usually do 3 coats. Let dry well in between coats.
