I wanted to try out a fabric project with my Cricut and make a present for a relative at the same time. I decided to try this heart. I turned out even better than I thought it might!

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED
- fabric - print and solid
- t-shirt
- thread
- sewing machine
- fusible adhesive
- iron
STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS
I ironed the solid fabric onto my shirt, being sure to center it. I then lined up the printed fabric sheet on top of the solid heart and ironed it as well. I did a zig zag stitch around the outside of the whole heart. I then used a freehand stitch on the machine to "quilt" around the inside parts of the heart. I wanted to make sure the two parts wouldn't fall apart with washing.
I started by getting a new 12x12 mat to use only for fabric. I used a deep cut blade that will be just for fabric as well. I used a shirt that had been washed and dried (w/o fabric softener), and fabric that had been washed as well.
I ironed bigger pieces than I needed of each fabric onto the fusible adhesive.

I enlarged the hearts on the Gypsy and made sure the main image and blackout image were the same size. I cut the main image from the printed fabric. I then cut the blackout image from the other (solid) fabric.
