STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Give a Hoot Cartridge
1. Owl
a. Brown base/branch (3” <Owl1>)
b. Light brown body (3” Shift + <Owl1-s>)
c. Cream eyes/legs (3” Layer + <Owl1>)
d. Yellow-orange wings/belly/head (3” Layer + Shift + <Owl1-s>)
2. Leaf border
a. Brown base (1” Border + <Sqrrel>)
b. Yellow-orange leaves (3” Border + Layer + <Sqrrl1-s>)
3. Phrase: Give a Hoot
a. Yellow-orange base (1 ¾” Phrase + <Owl1>)
b. Brown phrase (1 ¾” Phrase + Shift + <Owl1-s>)
Use paper trimmer to cut one 10 ½" x 7 ¼" piece of brown cardstock. Fold in half to create card base.
Use paper trimmer to cut one 5" x 7" piece of cream cardstock, one 4 ¾" x 6 ¾" piece of brown cardstock, and one 4 ½" x 6 ½" piece of green pattern paper. Layer together. Adhere to card front.
Create owl from cuts 1a-1d. Using a sponge dauber, ink edges. Layer together. Using foam squares, adhere to card front.
Create leaf border from cuts 2a-2b. Layer together. Adhere to card front.
Create phrase from cuts 3a-3b. Layer together. Adhere to card front.
Embellish as desired.
