STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS
My first ever fabric project using Cricut and the free sneak images from the Create a Critter 2 Cartridge. For this project you can either make your own booties or buy some and embellish them. I made my own with knit scraps and elastic. For the lion I used cotton fabric, this came from Joann on the Fat Quarter section.
I used heat and bond on the back of the fabric and startch to stiffen as suggested by many cricut users- thanks for the tips!
Cut the Basic and Accessory layers at 3". Beware there might be some clipping you need to do for the smallest details, like the facial features of the Lion and the hearts on the lion stand.
iron "applique" the pieces to the booties. On the back of the top layer of the stand ( Shift Accessory layer) I added the ribbon to give it a different color background. To finish it add french knots to the eyes with the embroidery floss.
I hope you like what you see and that you are inspired to try some fabric cutting if you have not tried it already!
Have a lovely day!
