Elegant tote created with simple 5x5" squares. One side is the color of late summer and fall, the other spring and early summer! The Create a Critter 2 cartridge has possibilities far beyond the suggested seasonal layouts, and this tote is the perfect example. For each season cut 1 tree of camouflage fabric and 2 (one each layer) for the leaves in various colors. Trim leaves from the camo layer to show underlays. Adhere with fabric glue. Voila!

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Create basic tote of 5x5" fabric squares. Line and quilt if desired (optional). Add strap and closure as desired.
Cut fabric shapes from Cricut Create a Critter 2 Cartriged using your preferred method. I used sticky-back stabilizer to affix the fabric first and cut with fabric side down on a fresh mat. Suggest you use the Deep Cut housing and blades, although I used the regular blade that came with my Cricut and hand trimmed areas that didn't fully engage. Layer images with fabric glue and dry before adhering to tote with fabric glue or fusible webbing.
