My cute little Halloween layout made with Create A Critter 2's sneak peak images. I am so excited for this new cartridge. Makes me fall in love with the original all over again.

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Scallop Border Punch
  • Chalking Inks
  • Coloured Cardstock
  • Black & White Journal Pens

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

From Everyday Paper Doll cart cut Fence on pg 75 at 2 inches (real dial size). I've used 3 of these to go across my page or you could weld using CCR. Also using this cartridge (and CCR), cut 1 inch (real dial size) grass border from pg 77. I used craft room here to drag out image to stretch across my page. Chalk both images. I've used black & white chalking inks throughout the whole layout.
From Paper Dolls dress up cart I cut the spooky tree at 5.5 inches (real dial size) and the bats at 0.5 inches (real dial size). Chalk both using white chalking ink. Add pop dots to the back of the little bats.
Sweet little pumpkins are from the original Create A Critter cart pg 70, and were cut at 1 inch and 1.25 inches, with real dial size turned off. Chalk with black & white chalking ink.
Create A Critter 2 sneak peak images, I cut the spooky mansion at 6 inches, the pirate ghost at 2.5 inches, the treat bag at 1.5 inches, the cloud at 1.75 inches and the title cut at 1 inch. (I used the real dial size function for the title only in this step). Again I chalked all images and put pop dots on the back of Mr. Ghost.
Cut a strip of grey cardstock 6 inches x 12 inches and punch the edges. I've used a scallop border punch. Then adhere a strip of orange cardstock 5 inches x 12 inches on top and chalk all edges. Here I've used 2 grey photo mats embossed with swiss dots. My photos will be added later.
Adhere all borders embellishments and photo mat strip to purple background (please see photo).
Using black & white marker pens enhance all embellishments with little dots and dashes here and there. It really does make the whole layout POP!
