I made these cute placemats for the Extreme Fonts Contest (Week 1)! These would be a great addition to any family meal or kitchen accessory! They were really fun to make, and definitely worth the effort!

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Valentine Fabric
  • White Fabric
  • Sewable Fabric Stiffener
  • Trim
  • White Heat Transfer Vinyl
  • Iron
  • Batting

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Pick out a Valentine themed fabric and white fabric. Heat on the fabric stiffner with an iron. Place your fabric on a 12 x 24 mat and cut a heart. I used my Gypsy so I could make my heart as big as it would fit on a 12 x 24 mat.
Once the hearts are cut out, sew the two hearts together and add a cute trim.
Cut out "Love" using the Extreme Fonts cartridge on white Heat Transfer Vinyl. I welded my letters together using Cricut Craftroom, so it would be one piece.
Weed the vinyl and iron it on to your heart.
