Great questions everybody. Thanks for sharing. The users will be able to share files. There are some simple steps to doing this.

CDS users will need to update CDS so that they will be able to export their .cut files to a .gypsy format.

Gypsy users will need to register and update the Gypsy in order to then export their files in .cut format.

Once this has happened users are able to export and shared their designs.

If you just want to share Gypsy to Gypsy you simply share the .gypsy file via email or on a jump drive.

I hope this helps.

Anticipating the next question.. yes you will be able to get the CDS update and register the Gypsy as soon as the Gypsy is available.

Wow, thanks McKay! There is only one more piece of the puzzle I am not understanding. How are the files going to get from the computer to the Gypsy and back? Does the Gypsy show up as a drive when the cable is plugged in so it is just drag and drop, or is there sync software required?

My guess is that there will be an "export file" or "import file" option in DS and on the Gypsy.  That's probably part of the update McKay was talking about.  But - that's a guess.

Thanks for the update!  I'll be glad when I can see one in action!

McKay, the Gypsy is available, and we still haven't seen an update to CDS or a way to move files between Gypsies and PCs or Macs. What gives?

I copied it (EULA) from the agreement window... but I don't know if I'm allowed to post it here.

Perhaps you can start the registration process again and get that window to come up again... select all and then copy and paste.

I did also......... from the sync applet and ran a printed copy.....  I wonder if the EULA from the sync app is identical to the EULA on the G.......
Thats why I requested a PDF.

Hello.  I registered my Gypsy tonight and couldn't find anywhere to go to to update it.  I'm afraid I only know my way around a computer and tech things well enough to be dangerous.  Would some one please help me with this?  Thank you in advance.  Nana Mouse
