and turn it into a great gift?



I made these 2 liter Gift Bottles for my son's teachers this year. They LOVED them! They said so many of the students (and parents) were wondering how all that stuff got into the bottle! My son only shared the "secret" with his teachers. Wanna know? (I also made this for my neices and nephews at Christmas. It was hilarious watching them try to figure out how to get their toys, candy and gift cards out of the bottle!).

Status: offline 		OK, I won't make anyone wait or beg!

Here's how:

First, drink all the soda!!! Wash the bottle and remove the label. Removing the label is a pain but doing so allows you to make your new label any size you want.



Use a marker to draw a sideways "U" shape  and cut along the lines with a sharp knife (be careful!).



Now, stuff all the goodies in the bottle and cover your "secret door" with a label! If the plastic doesn't want to lay flat, you can use packing tape or masking tape to keep the little door in place.



We added a few curly ribbons and a tag made from Makin' the Grade.

My son gave them to his teacher's before homeroom and when he went to their class later in the day, he told them to look under the label.

For my neices and nephews, we let them try to figure it out. After about 20 minutes, I told my youngest nephew (who is only 5) and then he teased the older ones until they saw how he had gotten into his!
