It is time again for another challenge.  And this one is going to be a little different with TWO themes.  This is also another 3 week challenge.

First is for the guys…
Father's Day and Birthday

Cards with a Sport Theme,
Modern Dad theme,
Cards that don't say Dad (for someone who is like a Dad),
Cards with buttons or metal (remember to keep buttons and metal flat pls).

 Pick from the above sub themes and do any # of cards you want in any combination.  Be creative....get fancy....keep them simple.  Whatever you are comfortable with.

* * * * * *  And now for the  KIDS
There is always a need for cards for the children at home.  Something to hold from Mommy or Daddy.

Do any occassion.  Birthday, Miss you, Love You, juvenile, teenage.  Whatever strikes your fancy.
     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The idea is to have fun with the cards while supporting our military.  Every card is appreciated.
Don't forget that there are both men and women deployed sending cards home.
For those of you who are new, let me explain how this challenge works.
Make cards in any way that you want.  All 15 different, all 15 the same, or a mix of both.  Just leave the inside blank to give the soldiers room to write home in and include an envelope.  NO stamp necessary, (soldiers get free mail when deployed.)
When you sign up you will sign up for how many you want to do 15,30,45,100.  You will also tell us what time zone you are in.  The time zone will tell us to whom you will ship your cards to at the end of the challenge.
That shipper will then compile all the cards and send them to units on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Each time zone is ****igned 2 or more units to ship to (a unit is 120-160 soldiers).
Shipping is an expense to us that all the shippers have taken on out of their own pocket.  However if you want to donate a dollar or two for shipping expense overseas then we welcome that.  All money donated goes to pay for shipping to the soldier.  YOU DO NOT have to donate any money to participate in this challenge.
If you have any qualms or questions about what we are doing with cards for soldiers.  Please pm me or ask in the thread.  There are several great ladies that keep this going.
Thank you for standing behind our troops
I'll do at least my usual---30, for Eastern.
By the way, how flat is flat? I take it you mean no pop dots, foam squares, etc. at all?
Sheila I have used the pop up dots, smaller brads, etc on my cards.....things like skittles that stick up will get caught in the PO machines and tear envelopes and can damage the card.....I just try to stick to flatter embellishments...  Hope this helps....
Please put me down for 50 this time and I will try to do more as usual.  Anyone find any place to buy inexpensive envelopes? The place I was buying the cheaper ones no longer are carrying them.  Eastern Zone please.
Betty I buy envelopes in bulk....1,000 an order...I just looked at the site and with shipping they run about $52.00, but still cheaper for me than the boxes at an office supply......
