I forgot to post pics of us at the races a few weeks ago.  We paid alot of money to be in a dining room and have a reserved grandstand seat.  It was really beautiful.

Here is DH and I at our dining table.  There were 10 people at each table

WOW Looks very nice, and what a lovely view of the straight!!  You look absolutely lovely Cindy, love your dress, and your DH scrubs up pretty good too

Here is a picture of our group before heading out to the track.  THis picture is taken in the lounge of our hotel.  An old lady would come in each night and play beautifully in this piano.  This is a good look at my dress!

I wore a hat last time and it was so annoying, so this year opted for a bit of tulle and feathers in a comb!!  Would love to have a go at making one.

Very elegant dress and group for sure!!  Sounds like you had a good day.

Know what you mean about it feeling like Monday Alli!!  Thank goodness it's Wednesday already.  I start work tomorrow for training, not sure for how long or when I actually start working the afternoon shifts, I guess it will depend on how long I need to be trained LOL  So I only have to work 2 days this week  yippeee (sad isn't it, seeing as I haven't even started yet??).

I'm going to get an acid free art book from the craft shops and mount the pages onto them so that I can use them as scrapbook pages (and retain the full 12 x 12" dimensions) afterwards.  This way you can bind the ends of the art pages rather than run the binder through the actual pages.  Will try to do one on the weekend to show you what I mean.  Got the idea from my current calendar that Bec made me last year.  Hope that helps Lorraine.

Got to go and start my pick up rounds now...be back in a few hours.  Will be glad when Keith's car is back home from the Jeep Hospital!!  I start with picking up Chad, dropping him off to work, then driving 40kms out to where Keith works to get him, and then back home again!!  I really don't like having one car right now...LOL

Glad to hear that they made it to the Apple Isle!!  Thanks for taking part Lorraine.

I have mine in a 12x12 display folder and hope to hang it some how.

A friend has borrowed it for a few days so she can study all the pages.

Everyone at work thought it was a beautiful pieces of creativity.

LOL, actually, as i was walking in i noticed DH's car was already in the car park, he was across the road at Super Cheap Auto..so i went back in just to take a photo of a project i wanted to copy, then came straight out!  I would have happily gone back to Cold Rock though..

LOL  I sure hope he didn't see you getting out of our car!!! LOL  Alli was warned by her DH NOT to get into a car with any of us...and she did...LOL

Alli your Kaisercraft Wreath is gorgeous!!  You did a great job.

I had a lovely afternoon with Alli & Kaz at Paper 2 and at Cold Rock Icecreamery!!  I was rather late however, both ladies waited for me (thanks girls, you are awesome) stooopid Melbourne traffic due to Mornington Races on that day!!   These girls are exactly how they appear to be on the MB.  That's 3 from 3 now (you too Cindy)!!

I was lucky enough my lovely hubby took me to Kaisercraft the next day (our friends decided a trip down to Phillip Island was in order so I conned them all into going via Kaiser..LOL).  I bought some great goodies, the lady gave me a $10 voucher for "next time" and then we got to talking about the Cricut, and I managed to convince her into letting us re-enter the store to all spend our vouchers!! YAY  Kaiser!!  So I spent a little more.  LOL

Sharon I am soooo sorry to hear about Dylan, I hope he will be okay, without any scars.  Poor little bugger

Fi, enjoy your Gypsy!!  You lucky girl!!

Lorraine, hope you are feeling better soon.

Well done on the Melbourne Cup win for your hubby Cindy, hope he shares his winnings!!!

My calendar was waiting for me when I got home tonight.  Thanks ladies, you all did a fantastic job!!  Can't wait for our 2011 ones!! LOL  I second what Maria said, there sure is some talent on this board!!  Thanks again to Cindy too for all your hard work.

Don't you look good Nellie.  You coulda smiled though!!! LOL   Congrats on chatting a lot too!! LOL

Gosh you girls yack a lot!!!!  I've finally caught up!!

Update on the caravan, is the employee we spoke to last Sunday (at the Canberra Show) up and quit after the van was "stolen" Sunday night. He walked out on Monday without giving notice.  Found that out by accident at the other van's showroom when we saw it on Saturday!! Plus we had to drive past their premises (old van) to get there (new van), and what did we see out the back??? Another TOPAZ exactly where ours was supposedly stolen from.  Sorry but if you really had something stolen, why on earth would you place another one in the identical spot for a long weekend??  Info has been passed to the investigator so he can follow it all up.  We just have to wait for the insurance company to decide if they will pay us out now or wait to recoup the money first.  Either way we will get it back, it just might be later rather than sooner.  Such is life!!

Okay am tired out.  Heading to bed now, will catch up again tomorrow girls.  Hope everyone had a good weekend, I did!!

Welcome back Mel, glad you had a good time in Melbourne

There really is something funny going on with that van
