For the plastic canvas cut pattern & dimensions visit my website by clicking on the banner in my signature. You'll find everything you need with lots of pics under Storage at the top of the page.

I don't frequent the MB as often as I used to so weeks can go by where I don't check my PM's so if you have any questions you can ask me there in my cbox or via a comment. Thanks so much!

Just click on my banner in my signature.

I originally started this thread as a Thank you and Yay!... Mission Accomplished! It has since been hit so I want to update the initial post so everyone sees and knows what were all MAD about!

Sorting the carts in the Snapware Ribbon Holder!

This neatly organizes 40 carts in a single small layer of the holder and up to 15 books/overlays in each of the larger compartments.

And here's the dividers made of Plastic Canvas.
Plastic Canvas comes in a 6 pack of these mats at WM for $1.97.  Out of a single package I have made 2 sets for myself and 2 as gifts and I probably have enough to make 1 more (5 total = storage dividers for 400 carts - lol!.)

Awesome idea...I bought the acrylic ones off eBay but these would have been way cheaper!

Oh, I saw that, but never realized that was what she used for the dividers! Great idea for taking them to crops-- even though I like the look of the boxes!  Might have to get another one of those ribbon holder boxes!

Me too! Wendy ~ If you (or MIL) have this holder... let me know and I'll make you a set of the dividers and have it ready for you on Sat.

I received a few PM's about the overall unit so in addition to answering the PM's I thought I'd share here for anyone else.

You can find the Ribbon Holders at J's and M's but I didn't want a colored one so I bought an all clear one from The Container Store. They were $15 in store a few months back when I bought them but they are now online for $11.

Here's the link:
http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?searchId=17172783&itemIndex=83&CATID=72461&PRODID=10017492

Currently it weighs 9lbs. (and I have all foreign languages removed from my books.)

I bought 3. Stacked 2 as shown in my post and have an extra as room to grow.

Also I keep a homemade tag in the top so when I remove a book it serves as a placeholder.

Here's how it comes originally:

What do you label your cartridges with?  My labeler stickers don't stick, and I want to label on the top of the cart...

Wow! I am going to have to rethink how I store my Carts.  Right now, I store them in the M's polka dot holders thingy...but it's such a pain to carry both (one for fonts...other for shape) when I go to my friends.  This would be nice!!

Any chance you found the original post where you learned how to cut it?  Also, where did you find the plastic canvas at Walmart?

Thanks!!

I didn't label them... the dividers are flimsy enough that I just nudge them back a bit and I can tell what cart they are. I've seen where others used sharpie and just wrote on the cart and where they've taken them apart and attached little tags - I wouldn't do either. I guess if it gets to the point where there are too many, I'll sort by sections e.g. A-H, I-Q & R-Z so I can find quicker - for now, this works just great.

I have went through the original boxes on a shelf (too bulky), the Plano Flipsiders (hated those) and the M's polka dot bag which I liked but outgrew... this has been the best by far and I highly recommend!

I have yet to get a response with the original poster but you can still see the cuts in the OP.

The Plastic Canvas was near the patterns and yarn at my WM.
