good morning!

Pat have a great time in wine country drink some for me! Wine country is on my bucket list, so is a hot air balloon.....

Carrie I totally understand about the paint, I just wanted to get the cedar sealed up before another winter, I didnt even ask DH about the color I just did it, if he isnt going to help paint he has no say good luck today at your match, enjoy the fantastic weather this weekend.

Lizzy I have no idea why you would be stressed LOL, sorry to hear about the bad news from the dentist, I am sure she will be in good capable hands and get taken care of. go out and take a good walk, that is always a stress reliever for me.

what else...... well the priming is done, so today I will start paint, I hope it doesnt take as long because it isnt rough anymore and I will get a good chunk done today. Tomorrow I have my cooking club, last month we did freezer meals this month we are making cookies to send to one of the girls sisiters troop they are in Iraq (I think) so the house will smell great, I will get my cookie baking fix and they will all get shipped out LOL Sunday we have a busy morning and evening but open afternoon. Maybe I can get DH to get some christmas lights up time will tell.

Have a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!!

This is my last check for today and maybe the weekend.  Will have to see what kind of internet I can get at my sister's.
Will definitely enjoy not climbing hills at the cemetery for a change, although it was great exercise.  I did put an album last night on FB of some of the coastal pictures I took yesterday.  It was a gorgeous day.

Have a great weekend.  Time to pull the plug here and go get some breakfast, then hit the road.

Good morning!

I wanted to share that I send my Principal an email saying that I "thought" I was in trouble; then I apologized for anything I had done to created any problems. I acted as if I didn't know the specifics of the situation. She replied and sounded less upset. She said that I was not in trouble, it was just something that was "said" on the evaluation and that we needed to talk. She said she preferred to speak face to face.

Overall, it relieved my anxiety greatly. I needed to let her know that I meant no malice toward our students and certainly did not mean to stir up any trouble. (Duh!) I value my relationship with her and want to preserve it. Anyway, I know what I said; it wasn't the best choice of words, but it is hardly worth setting off a bomb over. I can face the music of my incorrect word, but I also stand by everything else: they should not have shared the evals, they are angry because we aren't kissing their feet, etc.

Well, I'm off to shower because I don't know what the day holds and having a shower just gets me ready for whatever is dealt my way! I have plenty of clean clothes so that always helps tremendously!! Then, I will continue to work on cleaning the kitchen until my cards are dealt!!

Oh dear....I made it sound like Sarah's kitchen is a total disaster. It isn't. I'm just doing a deeper cleaning!! I'm actually nearly finished. I have to put the stove back together, clean the microwave, empty the dishwasher, and I'll be finished in there!

Hello ladies!!

We won the playoff game tonight!!  It was really fun because it was against our big rivals who just happen to be my niece and nephew's high school.  They beat us in the regular season so we really needed to win this one.  It was close and exciting!!

Lizzy, so sorry about DD's teeth.  One step at a time is all you can do.  I agree with Rhonda, don't forget to breath and take care of yourself too!!
My husband also asked if Texas has a helmet law.  We do here.
Don't know how your day ended up but it sounds like you were ready for whatever it held.

Staci, great job with the painting!!  You really hung in there!
That's the way to do the cookies!  Get them out of there so you aren't tempted.  Nice idea to send them to your friends sister group.  I am sure that will be a treat for them!

Pat, when we were out that way we went to Temecula and did a winery tour.  Hope your travel day went well and you enjoy your time with your sister.

Rhonda, how nice of you to share the show with the kids.  Great thing to teach them/pass on to them.  How did it feel watching the show instead of being part of it??
Hope the leave removal is semi painless!!    Dh has worked on ours for hours in the dark every night this week.  He has a pretty good handle on it for now.

Evening all...we are home from the USO Show. It was awesome. I do miss singing but enjoyed it just the same. I had to laugh...one of the girls said" Boy, I didn't know old time music could be so fun!" We all had a good time.

Glad to hear your team won the playoff game Paula. Congrats to the team.

Hope Pat made it to wine country and Lizzy was able to finish Sarah kitchen.

We are going to have a quick snack and off to bed. The leaves are waiting....

Night all.

Morning all...

We ended up watching an old video last night - Balto. The girls are still sleeping. But soon we will be out taking the recyclables to the center and then raking leaves. A full day outside. Should help on DP. Suppose to be in the 70's again today.

Staci, how did the painting go yesterday? You just couldn't ask for better weather.

What does everyone else have planned for today?

Happy Saturday!!

Rhonda so glad you all had a great time last night, what fun! No we couldn't ask for better weather, it is fantastic out, I made a dent in the painting, I got around both garage doors done and a big window on the front of the house. DH came home from work and lifted me in the bucket on the tractor so I could finish priming inside the front columns, (I ran out of primer last weekend when I was up there) Today no paint for me, I need to clean up the house and make loads of cookies. Enjoy your day outside, the leaves I DON'T miss those from the old house LOL

Paula Congrats on the win for the home team, that is great, sounds like a nice exciting one to attend, what do you have on tap for the weekend?

Lizzy I think you handled the drama at work well, I completely agree they should have kept the eval to themselves and not slam your school with it.

well that is all for now, have a great one everyone and enjoy this wonderful Saturday!!

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday to you all!

Here's what I retained from reading

Pat is still romping around CA

Staci painted

Nancy has a new baby

Lizzy handled her job situation quite well

Rhonda had fun at the USO show and will be raking

Paula enjoyed a great football game with a WIN!

Seriously, that's what I got out of 2 days of reading! My brain can't take any more!

I had a great week at work. So far, after 2 weeks, I have filled a letter size legal pad with notes and am now working backwards on the back side of each page. I brought them home to re write them so they are worded in a way I understand. There's so much to know but it's all good. I can't wait to start taking calls and earning incentive money.

DH has been on vacation all week so we get to spend the weekend together without him having to work YEAH! Last night he said "Lets go to Florence tomorrow" (in KY where we go shopping). I gave him a look...I'm in Florence every day LOL So I'm not sure exactly what we'll be doing. He just woke up and is in the shower so I am going to work on my class notes while he gets ready. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend!

Have a great one!

good morning from sunny, but chilly wqine country.  We arrived yesterday in good time.  My sister is working this morning.  I am not sure what we will do when she gets home.
I downloaded mycamera and will clean up pictures.  It is easiest for me to put them on FB, so I might do that.  I have internet here, but it will come and go, so nothing I can count on.
My sister and I will work on Christmas cards for the troops at some point and I also have my atc's from the flight to finish up.
Staci, good progress on the painting.
Lizzy, sounds like things are moving along well for you.
Laurie, you do sound like this job is working out.  YEA!!!
Rhonda,  I am holding my own on the weight, but it is hard.  At least my sister has scales and serves healthy food and has no junk foods laying around.  Wine will be the killer. Be4cause we have that in abundance.

Going to mess with pictures now and then see about a walk.

Good morning. Or at least it's still morning here.

Lizzy you are such a good mom. I hope Sarah appreciates all you do for her. That is really too bad about the teeth but with Dentistry in this day and age. they will work miracles.

Laurie glad to hear the work is going well. Sounds like a wonderful weekend for you too.

Rhonda how was the USO? Sounds like a fun filled girl's weekend for you. When you used to sing, did you do solos? Why did you quit? Love the new ticker.

Staci great job with all the painting. I am still procrastinating. Speaking of cookies did you catch the google page this week. Today is Oscar, yesterday was Burt and Ernie and the day before was cookie monster. Big bird was before that.

Paula what a win. How fun for Tay to beat the cousins. LOL These are fun memories for bandies.

I am spent! I had a grueling tennis match yesterday. The girls I played against hit the ball as hard as my sons. It was 2 whole hours with of bang 'em up and then I went to boot camp this morning. Whew! I think I need a hot tub and a nap

Pat, enjoy the wine. Sip slowly and make it last LOL

Carrie, sounds like a gruling day on the court. I'd be passed out on the floor LOL

DH and I went to lunch but then came home to hang out with Sadie. She's been alone all day for 2 weeks now. We came home and took her for a walk (we don't usually both walk her) and she was very happy, so we're happy. Will spend the rest of the day finishing up a card order and the response cards for the invites. Should be completed with it all by tomorrow.

Later!

Good afternoon friends!

Congrats, Paula on winning the play-off game! Do you continue playing more games, now? I hope so because it can be so exciting!

The USO show sounded like loads of fun, Rhonda! I didn't know that Veterans Day started in your neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing that. I think it is a very important day of remembrance.

Carrie, a trip to the hot tub sounds really FABU!

Staci, you are doing great with the painting! You go girl! Also, baking cookies sounds like fun. Will both children help?

Infirmary Report: Carlos came home from the hospital last night and is at home. Sarah is over there tending to him now. I am at her place alone after running several errands for them both this morning.

I am now on my way upstairs to do some bathroom work, shower, and continue work in the kitchen. Nope, I didn't get it finished up...needed some Easy-Off. Once I get the kitchen done, I think the bathrooms will go fast. (I sure hope so.) I will dust the furniture and then I'm not sure what is next. She needs new mini-blinds on all the windows but I want DH to install them when he gets here. (I hope he's cooperative.)

Our lovely warmish, not humid weather is leaving us for some humidity and perhaps some thunderstorms tomorrow and Monday. Oh well...it was great while it lasted!

OK...gonna get moving here. Have a great rest of the day everyone! I'll check back later.

Hi ladies!

Had a slow day.  Just kind of puttered around here.  DH was out of town and DS left at 6 this morning for Min's side of the state to watch his cousin compete in state band competition.
Dh got home at headed to church.  Today is our 100 year celebration.  A dinner and program tonight.  He is at a reception now, I probably should have gone but will go tonight.

Carrie, you play so hard!!  Hope your not too sore.

Laurie, sounds like you had a nice day so far.  Glad work is going so well!

Staci, you are doing great getting your painting done!  You are probably up to your elbows in cookies by now.

Rhonda, hope you make good progress on your leaves today!  It looks like we are having a beautiful day today.  I think we are getting some of that nice weather today and tomorrow.

Lizzy, I see we posted at about the same time.
I am not really sure how the playoff thing goes but we now move up to another level.  Now I think the games will be played away from our area, no more at our school.
Glad to hear Carlos was able to go home.  Is his father still around?  Does he live far away?  I was just thinking, what a pair they must make right now.
It sounds like you have been keeping very busy being helpful around there.

The dinner/program at church tonight was nice.  I learned a lot of history and they made a video they played with great old pictures of the progress the church has gone through.  Got to touch base with some dear old friends and catch up with others.

Evening all..

It was a beautiful day here. We started by going to the recycle center. Then DD and rest of family came and we went outside to rake a yard full of leaves. Then used the vacuum to bag them up. Also mowed some of the yard. Delivered the leaves to the landfill site. Swept out the garage also. The girls decorated my drive with colorful chalk. Makes me smile to look at it.

Then we all went out to eat. A great day.

Lizzy, glad to hear Carlos is home now. Hope the healing goes well for both of them. With all of the cleaning you have been doing, DD won't want you to leave.

Paula, the celebration at Church sounds like fun. Glad you were able to reconect with old friends.

Pat, enjoy the wine (well maybe not tooo much). When are you returning home?

Laurie, I know Sadie enjoyed her day with mom AND dad. Bart was outside with us today and he just loved all the attention and just being outside. Glad the job is going so well. Hope you are able to complete the invites. One thing crossed off your list.

Carrie - did you make it to the hot tub? No I never sang solos, just with the Sweeet Adelines. I haven't sang since I had my first sinus surgery (3+ years ago). Problems with the sinus made it hard to sing as I should. May give it a try next year.

I am bushed from all the activities and being outside all day. Think an early night is in order.

Wow Rhonda!!  You got a lot accomplished today!  That has got to feel great and I bet your yard looks wonderful!!  And you got to spend the day outside with family!    Sounds great!  I bet you are wiped out.

DS and I didn't go to bed till almost 2 last night and the alarm went off at 5.  I went back to sleep till the phone rang at 8, then snoozed till 10.  So, all that to say I am ready for a good nights sleep so I think I am heading to bed too.

Nite!

Morning all...

Nothing exciting here today. I will go to my craft desk as I need to get a couple of birthday cards made. I also need to sweep floors and dust. Now, which one should I do first?? Think I will just have a cup of coffee and read the paper.

Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning ~  everyone is still sleeping here so thought I would check in.  No time to catch up right now, as I want to check on the CFS thread.

Yesterday my sister and I got 100 cards put together and today we are going to work on some simple emelishments.  It is kind of fun as we are a$$embly lining them.  The day will otherwise basically be a lazy one.  I might do a load of laundry, just to get it done.

Hope everyone is having a good week.
