  • Does the Cricut® machine require a computer?
    • No. The Cricut machine is designed to function with the original Cricut cartridges as a standalone machine.
    • If you prefer to design on a computer, this Cricut machine allows you to do so with the free online Cricut Craft Room® design software—just connect and start creating with the Cricut images you own.
  • Are all Cricut® cartridges compatible?
    • The Cricut machine is compatible with all original Cricut cartridges.
  • What materials can a Cricut® machine cut?
    • Each mat will last anywhere from 25-40 full mat cuts, depending on the size of cuts and what kind of paper/cardstock you use. We recommend that you use several mats, rotating them often. This will extend the overall life of each mat.
  • How large or small can Cricut images be cut?
    • Image sizes range from 1" to 5 ½" tall.
  • How do I update my Cricut® machine?
    • The Cricut machine may require occasional updates so the machine will communicate other Cricut products. You can update your machine firmware by connecting it to your computer and the Cricut Craft Room® design software.
    • The Cricut Gypsy™ device can be used to update your machine as well.
