  • What comes in the box?
    • Cricut Expression® 2 machine: 23 in x 9.4 in x 11.3 in; 16.6 pounds
    • Comes with two pre-loaded cartridges so you have immediate access to 3 fonts, 40 phrases, and 110 layered images (handbooks included).

  • Does the Cricut Expression® 2 machine require a computer?
    • The Cricut Expression 2 can function as a standalone machine. The LCD touch screen and Cricut® cartridges allow you to create projects without being connected to a computer.
    • A computer is required to update the machine.
    • If you prefer to design on a computer, the Cricut Expression 2 machine allows you to do so with the free online Cricut Craft Room® design software—just connect and start creating with the Cricut images you own.
  • Are all Cricut® cartridges compatible?
    • The Cricut Expression® 2 machine has two cartridge ports that are compatible with all Cricut cartridges and Cricut Imagine® Art cartridges. You can cut images (but not print them) from either cartridge type with the Cricut Expression 2 machine.
  • What materials can a Cricut Expression® 2 machine cut?
  • How large or small can Cricut® images be cut on the Cricut Expression® 2 machine?
    • Image sizes range from ¼ " to 23 ½" (12" x 24" cutting mat sold separately).
    • You can also independently size each image on a mat! Make one image 3”, another image 5 ½”, and so on—all on the same mat. It’s up to you. Some images are intricate and may cut best at larger sizes.
  • What additional features are available with this machine?
    • The LCD touch screen allows you to see the images you’re cutting and where they fit on the mat before you cut! Please refer to the Cricut Expression® 2 user manual for a complete summary of machine features.
    • You can also rotate images, vertically/horizontally flip images, choose default settings for materials you like to cut (cardstock, regular paper, chipboard, etc.), and customize a material setting just how you want it.
  • How do I update my Cricut Expression® 2 machine and how often?
    • You can update your machine using the free Cricut® Sync program. Simply connect your Cricut Expression 2 machine to your computer and run the Cricut Sync program to install new or updated features onto your machine. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page as well as announced on Cricut.com.
