Thank you for choosing to download the Cricut® Sync software program! This free program allows you to update your Cricut Imagine™ machine, Gypsy® device, and Cricut Expression® 2 machine with the latest programming from Provo Craft®. In order to begin your installation, click either the PC Download or the Mac Download buttons above.

Once you have downloaded the Cricut Sync software, you will be able to update your Cricut Imagine machine, Gypsy device, and Cricut Expression 2 machine. You will also be able to install the Cricut Imagine App on your Gypsy device so you can design, save, modify, and transfer Cricut Imagine projects.

NEW GYPSY OWNERS—Please download and install the CricutSync Software and run the CricutSync Software with your Gypsy plugged into your computer.  After the CricutSync update, you’ll then be prompted to register and link your Gypsy.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the Cricut® Sync program?
    • The free Cricut Sync program allows you to update the Cricut Expression® 2 machine, the Cricut Imagine® machine, and the Cricut Gypsy™ device. Simply connect your Cricut® machine to your computer and run the Cricut Sync program to install new or updated features onto your machine.
  • Does Cricut® Sync work with my computer?
    • Cricut Sync is compatible with Windows® and Mac® operating systems.
  • How do I use the Cricut® Sync program?
    • o First you will need to download the Cricut Sync program on to your computer. Then just power on your Cricut machine and connect it to your computer using the USB cord that came with the machine. When your machine has fully powered on, launch the Cricut Sync program from your computer. It will check for any available updates and will allow you to download them. Depending on the updates that are available, this process may be a short as a couple of minutes or as long as a few hours.
  • How often should I update my device?
    • There is at least one update a month for the release of our new cartridges. Other updates might be available at those occasions. The monthly update is released with the Hello Thursday announcement, which happens every third Thursday of the month.
  • What Cricut® machines can I update with the Cricut Sync program?
    • Check for updates regularly—perhaps every month or so. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page as well as announced on Cricut.com.
