Change Machine and Mat Size

Default Machine

Default Machine menu is located in the Machine & Mat Tools. Select your Cricut® machine here to view the corresponding virtual mat. If the machine you selected has more than one mat size available, use the Mat Size menu to select your desired size.

Note on Imported Projects: If you have imported and opened a project that was designed on a larger mat than the one used with your Cricut® machine, you may need to change the Default Machine and/or Mat Size in the Machine & Mat Tools. Once the mat size is correct, you may need to reposition the images so that they are all in the valid cutting area.

  • Mat Orientation 
    • At this time, the mat orientation cannot be change from portrait to landscape. 

  • Measuring Unit on Mat 
    • Measuring Units selector is located in the Machine & Mat Tools. You can choose from inches, centimeters, millimeters, picas, or points.

  • Zooming in and Zooming out on Mat

      The Zoom and Out buttons are located in the Top Tools. The Zoom button allows you to enlarge the mat to better see small images and details. Use the scroll bars to see different areas of the mat. To zoom back out, click the Out button.

  • Project Details 
    • Project Details

      The Machine & Mat Tools also displays the current project name under the Cricut Craft Room® Project section. If your project is not yet named, it will display as Untitled. To edit the project name, just click on the pencil and enter the new name. This section also shows when a project was created and the last time it was saved. You can also save your project by clicking on File and selecting Save or Save As
