LOOK AROUND!
How many people can you tally up that do wonderful things for you and others and never really expect anything in return? In life, we are truly surrounded by many very wonderful unsung heroes. Family, neighbors, strangers, and friends. These remarkable people have brung about and continue to carry out countless wonderful and meaningful blessings in the grandest of displays or in the simplest of ways. Even the smallest of deeds can, at times, mean the world to someone.
All too often, we can become complacently accustomed to these acts and forget just how meaningful the "do-gooders" in our lives are and what a blessing the doer of the deed is. The world becomes a bit brighter of a place when we show appreciation and gratitude to those unpretentious angels who are sometimes taken for granted. This is a call to action my friends. You don?t really have to sing a song, but do share something from the heart! Why not let your Cricut pals sing your heroes praises for you -- or with you for that matter. Share a gift of appreciation and love with your unsung heroes today.
Happy Crafting!

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT
Name: Noreen Pierce
About: I am an Elementary teacher. I received my Cricut shortly after they came out and have loved using it everyday since.

Noreen's Project: Holy Mackerel Card
Cartridges Used:
- A Child's Year
- DonJuan
- Everyday Paper Dolls
Instructions: I used the Gypsy to create this card.
1. I opened a new file.
2. I went to my cartridge keyword, searched "Fish", and found this fish on the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.
3. Using the Real Dial Size, I made the fish 6 inches. I welded two fish together with their top fins touching.
4. I cut out 1 plain fish with the fishing rod welded to the top of the fish.
5. I then cut out one more fish that was not welded to get all the detail of the fish.
6. I inked all the edges of the top fish and attached it to the fish with the rod with pop dots to give dimension. Decorated the fish with glitter glue.
6. I then used Don Juan to weld the numbers together and and attached them with fishing line and attached that to the fishing pole. The numbers dangle from the fishing pole.
7. I then used the font from A Child's Year and welded the words "Holy" and "Mackerel" at 1.5 inches high and attached to the top of the fishing pole.
8. This is a large card and needs a large envelope.

YOUR NOTABLE TIP
Today's Tip is from message board members reneeford33@yahoo.com and Doxieluv01. Thanks guys!
Q. "Does the Original Cricut Multi Cut when using Gypsy?"
A. "I do not have the Gypsy, but I do have DesignStudio and the baby bug and if I click the Multi Cut feature in DesignStudio, it will cut that many times with the baby bug. I think it will work the same for you with the Gypsy." - reneeford33@yahoo.com
"The bug doesn't have the option but the features on the Gypsy work with all the bugs. If you use the Gypsy and set Multi Cut, it will work." - Doxieluv01

CARTRIDGE EXPLORATION
I finally got my Cricut Cake machine, and oh how excited I was! I couldn't wait to explore the cartridges and the machine. I pulled out my shortening and fondant to start cutting images just to see how they would look. I also experimented with the gumpaste and discovered that I loved the look of the gumpaste better then the fondant. I think I'm in love with this new Cricut machine (shh...don't tell my dogs--they might get jealous). In today's exploration I will talk about Cake Basics, and Holiday Cakes cartridges.
Cake Basics comes with the machine and is the perfect cartridge for that purpose. This cartridge is full of basic shape outlines and solid shapes, which will let you create any border or design that you want for that special cake. Some other images on this cartridge are: round and oval dollies, flowers, leaves, crown, butterflies, swirls, flourishes, filigree, and several borders. The creative features are: Font, Base Shadow Blackout, Font Shadow, Plain Base, Plain Phrase, and Plain Shadow Blackout. RachelL from the message board created an adorable cupcake bouquet using Cake Basics and cut with fondant (see pic or click here). This is such a cute idea, I am going to figure out how to use the fondant with my machine. Don't forget that you can use this cartridge on paper projects as well with your original Cricut machines.
Holiday Cakes is a title that automatically tells us what this cartridge is all about. You have images that will cover any holiday or season, plus wreaths with a variety of styles. The stork is one of my favorite images, and I love the paisley designs as well. There are pumpkins, hearts, flowers, lace, swirls, and a variety of border styles. The creative features are: Font, Base Shadow, Plain Phrase, Plain Phrase Shadow, Plain Base, and Plain Shadow. You can find the phrases on page 68 through 77 in the handbook. Every creative feature on these pages has a bunch of different phrases for occasions, for instance, "Happy Mother's Day", and "It's a Girl". The picture on the left is an example of the lace border that is found on this cartridge. For some great ideas on how to use this cartridge you can always check out the message board under the Cake category. You can even get tips and recipes to help in your creative experience.
Check back next week as I make a cake or cupcakes and continue exploring the Cricut Cake world. Oh, I just know I am going to end up eating that cake and all those cupcakes. Happy Crafting!

HELP FROM THE EXPERTS
Here are the top questions in Customer Support this week.
From Brittany:
Q. I have upgraded from a Create to an Expression! I've sold my Create. I have the Create registered on my cricut.com account and can't figure out a way to remove it. Am I missing something? I only see an "edit/add" option. Do I have to call Customer Service to have the asset deleted?
A. No need to remove a machine. The Cricut warranty doesn't jump from former owner to the new owner.
If you do happen to register a product incorrectly. Just call into Customer Support and we can help with that.
From Becky:
Q. I'm having some trouble with the Cricut Color Inks. Are there step by step instructions I can use?
A. Of course! Just follow this link.
Have a great week!
