Happy Crafting :-)
This past week the weather has been so great here in Utah. The autumn leaves have fallen to the grass; winter is coming. I am excited about the snow coming a little bit, but I am also enjoying the fall breezes right now. In this exploration I decided to explore the second paper doll cartridge by Cara Bradshaw,
Everyday Paper Dolls. Now you are probably thinking that this will only be about paper dolls and you have no interested in paper dolls. The great excitement about the paper doll cartridges is all the other images that come with each set. When I introduced the first paper doll cartridge to my sisters, (yes, we are all Cricut fans) they fell in love with this cartridge and went right out and bought their own copies--hehe!

Now let's explore the Everyday Paper Dolls and what I can divulge to all you Cricut fans. The creative features for this cartridge are: Headwear, Accessories 1, Accessories 2, Accessories 3, Tabs, and Blackout. The character themes that are included with this cartridge are: baby, outdoor boy catching butterflies, school girl jumping rope, summer boy snorkel outfit, summer girl at the beach, fall boy with a pumpkin, fall girl with a leaf, winter boy with skies, winter girl with a tube, bathroom accessories including a robe, April showers outfit, and party time dress with balloons and ice-cream. Other outfits that are included: rock star with a guitar and microphone, pajamas with teddy bear, graduation gown with cap, football uniform with football and helmet, cheerleader costume with pom-poms, basketball uniform with ball and basket, baseball hat with uniform and ball, soccer uniform with ball and goalie net including cleats, tennis with hat and racket, golf clubs with flag in hole, hockey net with uniform and puck, race car driver that includes a car and flag, skateboard with helmet, fireman coat and hat plus the fire hydrant, policeman uniform with hat, doctor outfit with bag, nurse with hat and Band-Aid, construction worker hat with overalls and shovel, railroad outfit with lantern, lab outfit with beaker, astronaut suit with spaceship, military uniform, business woman with briefcase, farmer outfit with a pig and pitchfork, gardening overalls with watering can, fishing outfit with fishing pole, safari outfit with alligator, chef on a grill with hat, and a cooking apron with hot pads.
Other objects that are included with this cartridge are: animals (dog, cat, fish, and bunny), zoo animals (monkey, bear, lion, elephant, and a seal), vehicles (tow truck, dump truck, motorcycle, tri-cycle, and cement truck), road, trees, train tracks, sandcastle, golf grass, water waves, hills, and grass with cattails.
The first time you start cutting items with this cartridge I would suggest that you follow the instructions on page 78 to grasp an understanding of how the layers work. Also note that if you want to see all the images that come with each creative feature you can view these on pages 79 through 84.
I thought I would go to the message board to pick some ideas on projects made with this cartridge. Here are a few of my favorites:
-
kimi.n.ga used the fireman outfit and created the card that is pictures above. You can click on
this link too vew her comments regarding this card.
-
ChristinePerry1 from the message board created a cute construction card. Click
this link to see. It looks like she used the CUTTLEBUG® for the background. I love what everyone is creating with this adorable cartridge!
Happy crafting and check back next week as I continue exploring all the new cartridges!
