Take it with you

I'm traveling with my taste buds again tonight. My sister and I are cooking pupusas, which are delicious stuffed tortillas popular in El Salvador. This culinary quest was inspired by recent daydreams of traveling to another foreign destination. Finding a great deal on airfare is becoming increasingly easy with online services. Reaching a long distance location is as easy as 1,2,3: Buy a ticket, pack, and fly! Time and the looming question of, "When would I possibly be able to break away from my current daily responsibilities to enjoy such an adventure?" are my only obstacles. Ah, time! That precious commodity. But, where there is a will, there is a way.

Not long ago, busy crafters and Cricuteers asked themselves, "How could I possibly have more time to craft my projects and still express my creativity with class?" "If only I could take my craft room with me and finish what I've started while waiting for my kids to finish soccer practice, piano lessons, or waiting for a flight at the airport." Now you can with Gypsy! Gypsy is the portable, personal design studio for use with your Cricut. It allows you to store Cricut cartridge content, design with that content and then connect to your Cricut to cut. With Gypsy, creating a desired craft in your busy life is as easy as 1,2,3. Go, create, and cut!

Happy Cricuting :-)

Lonna Joy Smoot- Editor, Cricut CHIRP!

Make a paper cake using three graduated circles with a band around each. Cover in flowers. Make a lid by cutting a 7" square piece of cardstock. Score at 1 1/2" on all sides. Cut one side of each corner piece to fold in for a flap, glue lid.

CRICUT BOARD

This week's highlighted threads are:

TIPS TREASURE CHEST - Today's tip comes from message board member AuntieKLE. Thanks for sharing the tip!

Q. So what matches with which? I see some say a number with the pressure and others have low, med, and high, which one goes with which?

A. The original cricut settings use numbers (1-5) for the speed and pressure. The Expression uses words (min, low, med, high, & max) for the speed and pressure.

The blade settings are numbers for both machines.

1 = min
2 = low
3 = med
4 = high
5 = max

CARTRIDGE EXPLORATION -

No cartridge exploration this week, but Crafty Kimber will be back next time.

TECH SUPPORT NOOK - Q. How do you upload a picture in a post on your message board?

A. 1) Click on "Post Reply". In order to attach an image in your post you must use the complete reply form. You cannot post an image from the "Fast Reply" area.

2) Under the File section, click where it says "Click here to upload".

3) Browse to your file. Remember your file must be in a .jpg, .txt, or a .gif format and must be under 200 kb in size.

4) Click OK and wait for it to accept the upload and click OK again to return to your post.

5) Under the File section you may also want to checkmark the "Embed picture in post" option. This will allow your image to show in your post. Otherwise people will have to click a link that is provided in your post to see the image.

6)You will not see the image in your preview window. You will not see it until you have made your final post. Add your text if you haven't already done so and click OK to post your image and text.

I hope this helps!
