Thanks! Even though some troops are scheduled to return home, those are in Iraq. Troops will continue to be in Afghanistan as well as Kuwait. That is where the units I currently ship to are. And some troops ( a small number) will remain in Iraq for a period of time. ~pat

Yes Phyllis, there will be 10 of the elf shoes and 10 of the stocking.....copy away.....they really go fast once you get the paper cut....in a crunch, you could probably leave off the embossed layer....

Phyllis, when I first started shipping CFS, I looked at every card. Now I just can't take the time. I deal them out (like a deck of cards) into piles on a work table. I make a pile for each unit and when I hit 25 in the piles, I put them in a quart baggie, and start again. Now and then a card will catch my attention and get a closer look. I just get too many to really spend a lot of time.
Wouldn't it be fun to get together. I will keep it in mind...

Pat: Just wanted to let you know that my card making party went very well yesterday. I have about 200 to finish up on my own but expect to have those done by Wednesday, God willing. I will be shipping them out no later than Thursday.
On the side, tomorrow is my BIG day at the University of Miami, Ortho Oncologist. Please keep me in prayer.
Love to you all, Cynthia

Phyllis! Thanks so much! I so greatly appreciate them too! We are back from Miami and it is, for the most part, good news. There is a mass in my knee and he is 95% sure it is benign, but because of the strange location and the high metabolic activity, he can't be 100% sure. Regardless, he said it would have to come out either way, so I am scheduled for surgery next week. I will be in a mobilizing cast for a week and on bed rest (oh...poor poor me!) Then, I will be in PT for about 4 weeks, and then hopefully, I can get back to the gym! He said that in the event it is not what he thinks it is, we will cross that bridge when we get to it. I am believing it is benign and that it will all be over soon! To think of where I came from, 5 weeks ago, to now, it is truly miraculous! We are so thankful that we discovered the mass so early, and that it can be removed and I can go on with my life. God is good!

Cynthia, still praying that the results will be good. A few weeks recovering will be a blessing considering what it could have been. Take care and keep the faith.

I look forward to receiving your cards.. they are always so nice and I hope your friends know how much they are appreciated by all of us, as well as the troops and their families/friends/loved ones.

No problem Phyllis.....I always keep 'one of everything I make' for a guide....do you have the top note die? I know you could duplicate it with something similar....

Deb, I don't have the top note die but thought I could use something similar that I already have. We'll see.

I shipped out 4 boxes yesterday to 2 units in Afghanistan. 1200 cards and some Christmas decorations. I'm sure the troops will love all the beautiful cards. The lady in the Post Office knows that we are making the cards. She tells me every time how nice it is that we do this for the troops. Just wanted to let you know that your commitment is appreciated. Renate
