I got one a couple of months ago, and felt a lot like you. I just dove in! LOL I created a memoir book as a birthday present (a kind of "this is your life". I used cardstock, that I cut slightly smaller than the cover. I then used my "scrapbooking skills" and started with baby pictures, and went up to present day. Since this was for a 50th birthday - I put black roses on the front cover along with an "over the hill" theme. I used a lot of "50" sayings throughout. When I finished (I used both sides of the cardstock) I made sure the pages were right side up and even with each other, then put them in the cover and followed the directions on the Your Story. It came out perfectly and was a huge hit!
