This is going to be a challenge for all of us. We all have carts we have not used in a while or new ones we have bought and have not used yet. I am guilty on both! So lets all try and use some of those cartridges. We will have a project due every Monday. We will use the letters of the alphabet. Use a cartridge closest to that letter. Let's have fun and see what we can come up with!

Baxter, I took your idea and figured we would start with A and use what ever cartridge you have named close to that letter. I also named the thread A week. Is that ok?

This is going to be so much fun. I really think I am going to get more use out of my carts now. I needed to make a card for my niece. I probably would have gone to one of my normal carts, instead I thought out of the box because of this challenge and used a cart I would never have before. I used the tag from All Mixed Up including the shadow layer and circle. The scalloped circle is from Easter 2010. Edited by user Thursday, September 08, 2011 9:25:41 AM(UTC)

Thanks for starting this challenge. I don't know how to post my creation yet, but I am going with A Child's Year. If I can figure out how to post I will do so otherwise I will just create and enjoy seeing what you all come up with. Julie

Julie, ACY is one of my favorites! I can't wait to see what you make. If you need help posting, let me know. This actually the first picture I have ever posted here on the cricut boards. It was not too bad. Diana

Sounds interesting. I am like many others in that I so need to use my cartridges. I read the post on the main board. As of this writing it is Wednesday. So would this be for Monday 9/12 or would that start the next letter?

Jen, yes it is 'due' on 9/12. Of course we won't hold you to it! That just means on Monday the 12th I will then post the next letter, being B

I am going to do this as well. I will be using the Accent Essential cartridge to make a With Sympathy card for a friend that lost her 45 yo husband on friday. And I am also going to use Animal Kingdom to make a bookmark for my 7 yo daughter who loves to read.

Are you going to set this up as a Blog Hop or is it a challenge and we'll post our creations here?
I had a few minutes last night so I sat down with my Gypsy and created a card using Alphalicious. Then I started scheming and dreaming up ideas for the B cartridge week! It was awesome to look through some of those cartridges and see what they have on them. I guess I just bought and then thought "I'll use it later" and now it's later!

I have so many A carts, I should be doing another card. I am going to a crop this weekend, I will try and do one more.

Lori Bloggin The Crafts Lori, I saw your post on the main board. I signed up for that also, but this challenge originated from a different post on the main board. JJMM had posted about she wanted to use the carts she had, instead of buying more. (bascially, I think? ) I suggested starting a challenge for this because I know I needed this and figured there were more like me! So this here is for the challenge to use a cart, closest to the letter of the week and then post your creation. I am hoping the OP on the blog hop still does it because I would like to join that also. Looking foward to your creation.

OK, without further ado....my project from Alphalicious and Art Philosophy. I wrote a very detailed blog post with all instructions for making this, but I am not posting it until tomorrow. Check my blog tomorrow for full details on how to make it! Lori

I am in! I started by seeing what I had for the whole alphabet, the only letters I don't have are J, K, Q, U, V, X, Y... but I have plenty of multiples to make up.
I will be doing All Sports for "A"

Lori, the cards came out adorable! So jealous you have Art Philosophy! Mandy, I know there are some letters we are obviously not going to have. But I was looking on my gypsy today and I have 4 or 5 C carts! I think I will be able to fill in somewhere. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

So far I have made 2 cards. I used the Accent Essentials for the With Sympathy card. I used the Accent Essentials and Alphalicious for the Birthday Card for my niece that turned 12 today. I am still working on the bookmark for my daughter and will post this later on tonight.

Ok so as I was posting happy birthday to my niece on her fb wall I saw that she turned 13 and not 12. What a bad aunt I am. I thought she was 2 when 9/11 happened but she had turned 3 when 9/11 happened. So I made another card for her so here it is.
