(X-Post) Here is a poster my 5 year old daughter and I made for the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair at school. The theme is "Reading Is Out Of This World". Lots of Cricut used on this. I like how it turned out!

I absolutely love this! Our scholastic book fair is next week. Your poster is 200xs better than the one we have hanging up at the school!

Very cool, I am in the process of trying to come up with decorations for my DD's book fair at school which has the same theme. Thanks for the great idea.

I'm also gearing up for our school bookfair. I've done a bulletin board in the front lobby. I'll have to post pics later. Today I'm finishing my huge UFO like the one in the idea book. I found a plastic wading pool someone was throwing out!!! Always excited about FREE stuff!!!! Making small UFO's out of bowls and pie plates. I'll post pics when done. My fair is in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Keep posting the pics!!!!!
Thanks, Jennifer

This is awesome! We are also having that same book fair at the end of October. I'm excited to see all of the pictures everyone is talking about taking when they are done making decorations!

I know I'm late on this but what font did you use for the flag? I might use this same idea for the next bookfair at my school since I'm the librarian who's reponsible for running it. Why not go all the way, I say. This is one of the best ideas I've ever seen as far as classroom decorations go. Good job!

Sorry for the late reply but I haven't logged on here in a while! I'm glad you liked the poster! That makes me happy!
As far as the flag goes, I made that in Microsoft Publisher, using a flag shape and a rectangle shape for the pole. As for the font inside (To The Book Fair and Beyond)--I don't know the name of the font and couldn't find one that was similar (and I looked for a long time!). It came from the Scholastic Book Fair contest flyer. I ended up copying it and edited it in MS Publisher and then placed into the flag. Then I printed it on glossy brochure paper. Hope that helps!
