I have had my Expression for about 6 months. I have used different cartridges but this Hello Kitty font cartridge has made me say I quit! I have put my Expression back in its box. I feel defeated
I have destroyed paper and have not succeeded at creating a single Hello Kitty. I have cut all the parts out in sizes varying from 3' to 5 and still CANNOT get them to lign up correctly. Someone please tell me what am I doing wrong? Are the pieces smaller than the base? Should I just cut out the shadow and try to piece it together.?

When cutting any of the characters, I always start with a black base, made from Bazzill card stock.
I then cut the rest of the layers out.
When cutting your layers, you don't have to change the size, the layers will all be cut the same size, just make sure that they are the same size as the base. I've always had the best luck with cutting them large, then small. THe very small pieces are very hard to put together, and I usually end up doing my eyes with stickles. I have successfully made all of the Hello Kitties, but it did take a while to figure out how to piece them.
Don't give up. They are worth it in the end. I laminated the ones that I made and my daughter loves them.
