Hello! I was looking into maybe buyin a Your Story... but Im not 100% sure what it does. Does it make the album look like a book spine or a spiral? How many pages can you have in one?
What other brands are there of these things?
thank you!

I have the original Yourstory, so it binds (not sprial, its glue) and it also laminates. I have only made one book, but I use the laminator all the time. I plan on binding more stuff though. I also have a cinch that uses the binding wires. I have uses for both. I really like my Yourstory. Now the smaller Yourstory (photo)only binds and is smaller. Mine can bind up to 12" I beleive. Hope this helps.

I have both YourStory machines and I love them. I mainly use the large one for laminating (I even found 12x12 laminating folders), but I have the materials on hand in case I need to bind with it. The smaller one is very compact and travels well. In addition you can make custom covers with your own card stock and use glue sticks to bind. The possibilities are endless and there are a lot of good ideas and inspiration on this forum.
Good luck with your decision, you will not be disappointed.

I picked up the little one for $20 from HSN and immediately my DS wanted to use it for a class project. So Fun!! Today I bought one of the carts (per the list) from Cricut Machine.com and you get the Your Story bundle for free. Super cool. Thrilled to hear that there are 12x12 laminating pouches. Where...Where!?!
Just a word of caution if you purchase from Cricutmachine.com I would use Pay Pal. They have recently had some promblems with their credit card security. Other than that I love them and have been buying from them for years.

Your Story is one of my favorite tools easy binding. It uses heat to glue-bind pages. The amount of pages you can bind depends on the size of the binder you use. Robertscrafts.com has the full variety of sizes. Check them out.

The Yourstory machine is one of the only thermal binding machines that can also laminate. I believe a company called Tandem also makes one. The only downside to the your story machine is that is runs at a really high temperature, so it's tough to use with other brands of supplies. So, unless you get an adapter for the machine, you're a bit limited in supplies.
