There is a false bottom in the box. So you pull the machine out and the box looks empty but you have to pull out the piece of cardboard at the bottom and thats where you should find the power cord and blade housing. At least, thats how mine was!

Well, sorry about that. I almost missed mine because that extra piece of cardboard was in there very tight. I thought the same thing at first! Glad they're making it right!
