I think when I was in fourth grade we did coupon books how fun would they have with cutting the shapes for chores! LOL or if that seems too young maybe some wall art that represents themselves and what they like right now. I think that would be a sweet keepsake for mom to remember their child at this age. Another idea is they could bring in a couple pictures and make a mini album for their moms. Hope this helps and good luck!

You could also have them plant flower seeds in pots. They can decorate the pots with cuts (a personalized paperdoll would be adorable).
Then you could cut pots out of paper and have them make cards with the pop up flowers decorated to their taste.
This way you are pointing them in a direction but each one would be individual.
