That's exactly what it is. (That and the "no cutting symbol" at the 6" mark. It shows you the cutting boundary of your Cricut which on the Expression is about 11.75"

This information is incorrect; we can cut on the 12X24" met. I had not noticed that capability before now, as Narelle pointed it out to me in a few posts down! Maybe in the future they'll use the 12X24" mat; but not at this time. In fact, it might be good in the FEEDBACK in CCR to make known your wishes. If enough of us let them know, we may get a bigger option sooner than later! I'll ask for it. I would think there would be many others out there that would like that capability. - Char Edited by user Wednesday, April 20, 2011 3:59:49 PM(UTC)

Select the Options Menu, then select 12" x 24" from the Mat Size box. The mat is shown vertically in CCR (with the arrow at the top.) In DS it was horizontal. If you scroll down the page you'll see the full length of the mat. Or click the Zoom Out button till you can see the whole mat.

I hadn't noticed that before; thanks a lot. I'll go back and EDIT my post. I also PM'd stef to let her know I made a correction in case she didn't see your information after mine. Thanks, again, Narelle. Char Edited by user Wednesday, April 20, 2011 4:05:22 PM(UTC)
