I registered an updated my Gypsy. I have the 5 free carts but I would like to know exactly which ones are the ones you are supposed to get? I've seen others post different carts. Some are saying they got smiley cards, paper pups.

Some vendors were also offering free carts with purchase of a Gypsy from them.
PC offered Blackletter, Christmas, Indie Art, Printing Press, Tags Bags Boxes and More for anyone who registers a Gypsy (no matter where it was purchased, before 2/28/11.
If registered before 11/2/10, you also got Smiley Cards.

I'm confused, I got my G last summer 2009, I have updated my G several times, but didn't get any free carts. Was I supposed to?

I called PC and I was using the old gypsy sync and not the new cricut sync. Now I have the free carts!  Edited by user Thursday, February 03, 2011 11:31:52 AM(UTC)

I received the 5 free and smiley card but every time i try to open smiley card it takes me back to the opening screen. has anyone else had this problem?

I saw this when I registered my Gypsy. That you get free cartridges upon updating.
Is that automatic? How should I find these?

How should I find these? yes it's automatic. when you update the gypsy using cricut sync the carts will be downloaded to your gypsy. if you click the wrench on the welcome screen and your build (located in the bottom left corner) says 206:214 then you're fully upto date and should have the carts. to see what carts are on your gypsy turn it on click the bug head on the welcome screen click new click your mat size when you're looking at the cricut mat click the keypad icon in the bottom right corner click the cart name in the bottom left corner click the drop down arrow at the top of the screen click liked carts if you see the 5 free carts there then you got them if you don't see them and your build is 206:214 connect your gypsy to cricut sync let it tell you it's upto date and then turn it off for 10-15 min then follow the steps above to see if you have the carts. if your build is not 206:214 connect your gypsy to cricut sync and run all the updates. then follow the steps above

I bought my Gypsy from Michaels for $26.00 and received the following carts free: blackletter, printing press, india art, christmas and bags,tags, boxes and more.
plus the 2 gypsy carts. I had already own bags and tags but with all that, I got the gypsy for free. the protecting sleeve cost me more lol

I have had my gypsy over a year now, and registered it when I bought it, I am sure I did not get any free carts. I wonder why Prove just decided to offer free ones and left out those of us who have had their typsy for a while.
I didn't know there was a difference in the sync. Should I un install my sync and do a new download??? Is there a certain place for a new one???? bummer

Michigan PC did not leave us out of the free carts. the free carts are available to anyone who registered their gypsys prior to 2/28/11 and those who registered their gypsys prior to 11/2/10 they got an additional cart (smiley cards). if you've been updating your gypsy with Gypsy Sync then the free carts would not have downloaded on your gypsy. If you already had the carts linked to your gypsy you wouldn't see "new" ones as you already have those. if you don't have cricut sync installed on your computer you can do so at www.cricut.com/gypsy click the green new user button. click register, sign in and then download the version for your computer operating system

Everytime I upload my Gypsy to the computer for updates it will freeze up or take an eternity to upload...I got all the other free carts however, I never got the smily cart loaded...sad..

I can't open Smiley Cards either - I did follow the link given by Doxieluv but it all looks a bit scary and I'm not willing to risk a perfectly running Gypsy just for one cart - you'd think PC would give us a glitch-fix when we do an update through Cricut Sync....the other 4 carts dowloaded just fine....

Izzy i ran the troubleshooter without any problems. PC has advised by doing the troubleshooter will fix the problem
