Hi! This frame was decorated for my dear and closest friend Bea, she was just diagnosed with a stage 3 inoperable brain tumor. When she comes out to stay with us, my dog Mickey just loves his Bea! I took some really cute pics of the two of them and then my friend Debi and I did the frame yesterday. I think Bea will really like and make her smile. Thanks for looking!

Kathy - It was nice to come over here and see you; I have been missing this MB. I'll pray for your friend, too. AND, I do hope something comes up for her; I have had friends who had inoperable brain cancers and have come through whatever it is they've had to do to get well again--two come to mine. These are not close friends, but daughter of a person I was friends with some time ago and we went different ways. Another was a minister we had in our church who moved on and we found out he had inoperable--he is still living today and that was ten years ago. My next door neighbor is going through breast cancer right now (has been in the process for a year now). She's only early 50's and the sweetest person anyone would want to know. She had surgery in the fall and was told she would only have to do radiation. But, several weeks after, the doctor told her should would have to do eighteen chemo treatments first. For the first time, chemo is really getting to her. She has gone all this time and stayed upbeat and would come home from chemo all summer and you wouldn't even know she had chemo; she was full of energy. BUT, this is different. I'm so worried about her. I believe the chemo is precautionary; not sure. She did say the doctor told her if this ever comes back, she won't make it. A long saga; but, it feels good to talk to someone about it. I feel so badly for her. I have her on my heart and in my prayers constantly. Your friend is going to love that you took the time to mount those pics; they are really nice pictures of your friend and your dog. Char Edited by user Saturday, January 08, 2011 9:57:56 PM(UTC)

Hi Char, I have missed seeing you on the mb! thank you for your well wishes for Bea. Your stories do sound promising though of those that have had brain tumors. I am so sorry for your neighbor though, it is so hard to watch and not being sure what you can do to help. I do think that here in the next week or so, once the radiation and chemo hit Bea, her daughter Amanda is going to have her hands full taking care of her mom. Amanda is young around 32 years age. I don't know if she cooks, but I thought I would cook up some meals to take in and also grocery shop for them if need be, because Amanda probably won't be able to leave Bea alone. The tumor is affecting her vision now along with other parts of her body. Char remember I went on vacation for 2 weeks in April? Bea is who I went with, it was our third trip together in the 20+ years I have known her. Tomorrow I am driving to Anchorage where she lives, it is about a 45-50 minute drive to give her her gift, I sure hope it makes her smile when she looks at it! Nice to see you Char, and thanks for sharing! Kathy

It's a gorgeous frame and I'm thinking it means the world to her to have a great friend and that she is adored by a magnificent dog. I'm hoping all is well with her and adding my prayers.
