I am a college ECE teacher and am so frustrated that there is no correct Cricut Font for Early Childhood Educators. Either the "e's", "J's", or "a's" are incorrect. Students cannot use them and need to resort to the Accucut. PLEASE make a font that looks like the century gothic. (or am I missing a font???) I know there is one for the D'nealian and Cursive!

I just saw a tutorial over on Creations With Christina's youtube that has the preschool type "a" you are looking for. I think she used the Simply Sweet cartridge to achieve it. Here's the link to the video so you can see it: http://www.youtube.com/u...ward#p/u/203/eJjlaCIlBlAHope it helps.

Can you show me a sample of what you need the letters to look like? Simply sweet has the e/J/a correctly for ECE usage.

The closest one I have found was comic sans. The capital J has a top on it but you could cut it off. I use this one when I am doing evaluations and they have to tell me the letter and I teach Kindergarten. Hope this helps!!

Be careful about not using the funky a at all though- the kids need to recognize that as an A for the kindergarten reading screenings.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm an ECE major and its so difficult finding a cart. that we can use that is appropriate for our preschoolers since we want everything in the classroom to be accurate. However, we did find that Learning Curve has the best letters so far for teaching handwriting. Hope that helps.
