I am going to start a new thread for winner takes all here...new year new beginnings
We need to outline a few guidelines in order to keep things fun, fair and functioning. I am not particularly good at things like this and this is really a community thread so feel free to jump in and let everybody know if things need to be changed.
The RULES are simple. Each person that plays each week agrees to send the winner of the week the item of the week. Here are the details....
Each week, the leader/hostess will pick an item of the week of modest value $5-$8. The item should be broad enough that it can easily be obtained and would be liked by people on the MB. Once the item of the week has been set, each person is responsible, through the thread, to let the hostess know that they want to play for that item.
Through out the week the leader/hostess will 1.) keep the thread bumped 2.) being sure that all the players are being kept track of 3.) any questions are answered 4.) let others know that she has received her bounty.
On Sunday evening the leader/hostess will randomly draw the winner of the week. The winner will PM her address info the the rest of the players so that they know where to send the item of the week. The winner will then be the leader/hostess for the next week.
All players should have their packages mailed to the winner within a week. If there is a reason that your item will not be mailed please communicate with the winner. Once your item is mailed be sure to let the winner know it is on its way. If you use a DC, included it. If not, let the winner know what method you have used.
All items should be unused and have a value of $5-$8. When I find great deals on things I love and will pick up to one for me and one or 2 or 3 to swap. I have a swap stash and often swap to the winner from that stash. Some ladies like to use this swap as a opportunity to go out and buy new things for themselves and the winner. Either method, or whatever method you want is great. But this is not a used item swap.
Because this swap moves quickly it is important to check the thread often and leave communication. We are all busy and are usually more than willing to cut each other slack if necessary. But when you do not communicate with the thread it looks bad and lets others draw their own conclusions. Just so all are aware flakers and late senders may be reported.
I think that is it lets play!!!
