I just received a cricut personal electronic cutter for christmas. I am having fun experimenting but have a problem. I am wondering what I have to do to make my letters smaller than they come out. I am making cards and the letters are too large and I have the machine on the smallest size. Could someone please tell me if there is a trick to getting even smaller or do I need a special cartridge? Thank you Melody

I don't have a personal, but I don't think it can cut smaller than 1". I know the Create, Expression and the Imagine can cut as low as .25". If you have a gypsy or design studio, then you can make it smaller....hope this helps.

There are some carts that have the letters in tags or other shapes that when you cut the tag or shape at 1 inch, the letters are smaller.
Without DS or a Gypsy, it will just be a trial and error process of getting them to cut the size you want.

Thanks for the info- I tried it on my Gypsy and now I can cut smaller letters on my Personal Cricut- I thought I'd have to buy an Expression someday to make small things.

Thank you Melody I needed small letters for a project I was working on, and the cartridge Cursive 101 has a puzzle piece image with a letter inside of it like this I cut the puzzle piece at 1", so then my letters came out smaller . . . of course I was left with a lot of puzzle pieces with letter cut outs like this I later used some of those for a card that I did
