hey, so i just got a cricut expression for christmas and have never used one before... i'm trying to cut letters with chipboard to hang on my wall. my paper is 9 by 12 and i'm cutting one letter per page. for some letters, i can't get the length of the letter to take up more then half the page. i set the paper size to 9 by 12 and have tried both landscape and portrait... HELP!

Doing this without a gypsy is a little tricky, but look at each letter orient it so it is tall on the long portion of the paper. Remember, as you increase size in height, you increase width!
If you have a gypsy, you can unlock the height x width ratio and size them exactly as big as your paper!
Good luck! Jen

If you want the letters to remain proportional, some of them won't fit your paper size based on the height and width. As stated, those increase proportionally.
If you just want the letters as big as they can be using the 9X12 paper, use the fit to page feature after you set the paper size.
