How do I get rid of that annoying cricut cake thing that
keeps coming up (advertisement) and I cannot read the thread because
it is in the way??

Try making your browser window bigger it will be further to the right and out of the way.

Use an adblocker add on. Firefox has one called adblock plus. Look for it in the Tools, Add-ons menu.
Other browsers probably have them too.
