I read how to do ear flaps in Isela Phelps book.... and where you put the flaps on the peg to add them to the hat... I marked those pegs on the next to smallest loom... laid it in the middle of my purple loom and laid thread across the middle of both looms to make a cross and marked the center point on both looms... I used this as a guide to decide how to big to make my ear flaps...then I just winged it from there...I knitted these from the end of the strings up!!...I was so so excited when it turned out and the flaps were in the exact right place! This is for my niece Katy for Christmas... she will be in high school next year and their school colors are Blue and White... I so hope that she loves it!! Thank you for looking! So pretty. You are such a talented lady. I love looking at everything you do weather it is cards, KK or what. You are such an inspiration to all of us. Just made my first project last night. I made a simple baby hat. Hope to get to where I can make other things like you. TFS

my next project which I need to be working on two flap hats for my friends kids in the Steeler colors. I had planned on making them hats for Christmas and their mom said boy I wish I could find a flap hat and of course I couldn't just let that go...lol she said I love scarfs do you think that was a hint?  Jeannie you have been such an inspiration to me, I had had my kk for a long time and had started a scarf I never finished and that was it but I love them though I am neglecting my paper crafts...I will get back to them after Christmas...
