I am new here on the boards. I recently entered a drawing at a local Flower Factory store and won a brand new Cricut Create cutting machine. I was so thrilled, because I never win anything.
After unpacking and setting up the machine I discovered that it would not turn on.
The power cord is working fine (I tried the cord on my daughter's Cricut personal), I tried a new cartridge, tried a new outlet, still no power.
If I manually slide the cutting unit from side to side I sometimes see a flickering green light go on momentarily by the power on button.
However, it does not stay on. I cannot perform a reset. The screen never comes up either.
I called provo craft CS and they said I will have to bring it back to the Flower Factory to get a replacement, since mine was not a purchase they
said that mine was not covered under any warranty. Hmmmmmmm.
I called Flower Factory and she said they will need to contact headquarters to find out what to do and will get back to me.
I called today, and I am still getting the run around. I asked one of the workers if I should bring in the defective machine and she said not to, that there just might be a simple solution to get it to power up. I believe it actually might be a major problem with the unit, motherboard failure, electrical problem, etc.
I know I should be patient, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get my machine to power on, or how to get one
that works.
I really like my prize, but so very disappointed that it is not working
