This is just awesome. I haven't had a chance to make anything with this cartridge yet, you sure have inspired me.
How big are the pieces?
Any tips, hints or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
This is beautiful, I can't wait to try to make one of my own, although, it won't be as spectacular as yours. Just awesome.

This is beautiful, I can't wait to try to make one of my own, although, it won't be as spectacular as yours. Just awesome. I actually made them various sizes Mary is 33/4 and Joesph and wise men 53/4.I went to the dollar store to by the big poster board cut them to 12x12 and some come out smaller but it's a inexpensive way to cut out the first cut for one to practise and also it give it a sturdy base start as long as it's acid free and if it isn't spray it with Krylon Preserve it before you layer with the most expensive papers. Becareful not to make the bottoms so thick so cut what you need to dress them up. It cost me over 130.00 dollars Canaduan to make mine -It's sitting at my church right now, so I hope this helps. Thank you

Thanks very much for the information.
I will keep the thickness in mind when making the figures and such. I hadn't realized until I saw your piece that it could be a fence with buildings in the background. Very clever.
I hadn't thought about the price. It's for home, although I could also put it in the foyer of my church, I suppose.
I will have a go at this over the holiday weekend and post what I come up with. Thanks.
I don't have to worry about cooking an American Thanksgiving dinner this year, my oven is no longer working. Naturally, the stove is too old to repair, so yeah me, no oven for a few weeks. DH and I are the home owners so the new oven is on us. At least I'll have more time to craft (because craft shopping is on hold :( for a while)

WOW! This is so fantastatic - it left me almost speechless (and that's not easy to do as my DH says)! I realize it was a lot of work and expense, but you have a truly unique Nativity set for your church. I really hadn't thought of using the village as background - you are really creative. I love the way you made your figures 2-sided - I love to do that with my window decorations. Thanks so much for showing us all what is possible with this cart. I think this should rate a Chirp mention!

I would love to se your window decorations. I haven't thought of doing that.

"rate a chirp mention" means to be mentioned in PC's weekly e-mail posting called the Chirp. They always showcase a project or two. Sometimes it's from their stable of designers and known Cricut demos, other times it's from everyday people like us. It was just by coincidence they posted my Octopus made from Vinyl on my bathroom wall, when they were doing an article on Vinyl. They new about my project because I had posted it on the message board in the appropriate forum. I was never contacted, it was complete surprise, but fun too. This is an amazing creation! Don't wait for the CHIRP editor to find it, submit it to the CHIRP and win the spotlight and a free cart! (If you get mentioned in the highlights, you don't win anything except lots of praise from fellow members.)
Go to cricut.com and click Community and then Promotions and the info to submit a project to the CHIRP is under Create and Win. Good luck!

Unfortunately I went to that spot . I can't seem to message them. I'm not good with these things. It took me forever to finally learn how to download pictures..lol Thanks though maybe luck will find me because by the time I find them my opportunity will be gone-that's my luck

The pictures of your nativity set are awesome and I am jealous.
After working for 5 hours on my set I only have 6 pieces finished having spent quite some time in trial cuts to get the size that I needed. Was disappointed that the cuts did not seem to be proportional to a particular figure so one of my buildings and the palm tree had to be cut several times to make it look in proportion to the other pieces. Do you have any advice in how get the entire scene cut so they look like they belong to the same scene.

I fit to page my buildings and remembered the fit to page size Mary donkey was cut at 3 3/4" the wise men I cut larger 5 3/4. I layered my buildings 2 times to make it sturdy. Hope this helps
