Ok, so I have been thinking about breaking down and buying Copic markers. Just when I had talked myself into it, I see people on YouTube using Bic's the same way, but with a Copic blender pen. Has anyone done this? I have a set of bic's that I bought a long time ago for other purposes, but thought I might try it. Do you need the Copic blender pen when using Copics too? What does it do? Most of the videos just show coloring with copic markers and no blender. What should I do? Copics or Bic????

I use Bic Markers. They work just fine for me. I've never tried using a Copic blender though.

Why not try ProMarkers? That is what I am starting with and if or when I get good at it I will invest in Copics.

I just got some Copics a couple of months ago and I absolutely love them. They blend so well and I can tell a major difference between using them and my Stampin' Up! markers that I used before I got the Copics. I only use the blender pen to remove color from my image like if it bleeds outside the lines of my stamp (I am a newbie to Copics them and this has happened to me a couple of times with poor quality papers) or to remove color for highlighting or shine. I have never used it to blend colors......I haven't needed to use something other than the markers themselves because they blend so well on their own. I also bought mine from ScrapbookPal......best prices with free shipping on orders over $25

I highly recommend Copic markers: They give such a professional finish and blend like a dream. I order mine from oozak. Create an account to get the best price. HTH! Edited by user Sunday, November 14, 2010 8:49:54 AM(UTC)
