Good Morning : ) I really would like to make a large vinyl wall decal for my daughters nursery. It would measure approximately 80" tall and around 50" wide. What I have in mind is a large tree with some little birdies and maybe squirrels sitting on the branches. I have seen many of these for sale on etsy for $90 and up and thought I would give a try at making it myself. I know the cricut can only cut pieces as big as the mat itself, but I was wondering if any of you have tried larger projects like this. If so, where did you start? lol I can visualize it and see what I need to do, but I need some help in where to get started and any tips on what to do or not to do. Ive tried using the search function to see other posts related to this, but I am at work right now and our server blocks pretty much everything, so its hard to view some posts and what not. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! I would love to tackle this project!!! Jenn

Someone recently posted a picture that you may find helpful in the educators section of the MB. She made a tree to decorate a classroom door. I do not know how to send you to her link, so here are her directions, in my words! To get it large, make it too big to fit on the mat, using either G or DS. You will have to arrange the tree so that part is off the mat. Do this multiple times, until you get all the parts of the tree. I hope that makes sense!

There is also a post in the project section ( I think) where someone did a really, realy large tree for a friend's nursery. She gave some detailed instructions for how she worked that out. The pics were beautiful. If I can find the link, I'll post it here for you.
