What is the difference between the Cricut Personal Cutter and the Cricut Create? I want to purchase one or the other for my daughter and wanted to know if one is better than the other.

If I'm not mistaken the Cricut Personal cutter is the original and create does the same size with many more functions. It truly depends on what you are looking for. If you think she will be using a gypsy I would say that the original "personal" cutter should be fine. However without the gypsy I would HIGHLY recommend the create. Yes you are going to pay a little more to start but the extra functions in my mind are truly worth it. If space is not an issue though I would go one step farther and see if you can find a decent priced expression and get the extra size too. Black Friday is coming soon. Good luck

I have a cricut expression and my daughter has used it as well as her friend's cricut personal cutter. I do not think she would get a gypsy. I guess I always thought the personal cutter was just a smaller version of the expression. Sounds like the create would have more versatility. Thanks for your help!

The Create & the Personal are the same size. The Create has some (most) of the features of the expression & cuts a little bigger than the personal but not as big as the Expression. I agree with the previous poster. If size is an issue go witht he Create. If size is not an issue, go that one step further & get the Expression. You never know when she might want to cut something really big for a project of some sort. Lori
